Alyeska Hideaway Log Cabins - Glacier Cabin

Glacier Cabin was renovated and opened in 2017. Keeping with the charm of a one room cabin we have a queen bed on the main floor along with a sitting area.  The loft also has a queen bed. To access the loft you must climb a ladder so it is ideal for a family with kids or the nimble!
To add to the charm of days-gone-by the bathroom features a claw-foot bathtub and picture window with views of the forest behind the cabin, ideal soaking after a long hike or ski.
When you arrive you’ll find one of my homemade blueberry breakfast cakes on the dining table and a binder chaulk full of activities to do in the area, hikes with descriptions and distance, and all our favorite restaurants with full menus provided. Not to mention the plethora of discounts available through staying at Alyeska Hideaway Log Cabins. To add to that cozy charm we have added personal touches from our own Alaska adventures in the cabin with family photos of fishing, skiing, and hiking.
Glacier Cabin is fully furnished for all your needs and we live next door to our cabins and are here to welcome you and help you plan your adventures.

Absolutely loved the Glacier Cabin! My only regret is not staying more than 1 night! It for my family of 4 perfectly and the kids really enjoyed the loft area. Thanks for the hospitality!

Wonderful cabin!

This Girdwood cabin is just perfect! We had a very enjoyable stay, as it is a lovely cabin in a delightful forested location. The hosts live across the street and were very easy to communicate with. 5 stars!

Sweet cabin

I loved staying at this perfect cabin in the trees. The cabin is peaceful and clean. Everything I needed to feel comfortable was provided. The host's are also very kind and easy to get hold of. I look forward to returning in the future.

Beautiful cabin

The cabin was beautiful. It was inviting with its claw-foot tub for soaking after a long day of driving. Everything we needed was available and there was a great selection of tea. Coffee was available for my friend... who drinks café! Easy access to the cabin and to Alyeska.Thanks Lynn!

Perfect summer hidaway

This is a great little property location and a great little house tucked away in the woods. It’s walking distance to downtown. The inside was roomy and very well stocked. We had a great time.

The cabin was very clean and nice. There were three ring binders with restaurants and activities to do. Easy access to Girdwood, Portage Lake, and Whittier. We would definitely stay here again.

Very Good Hosts!

Cute clean cabin. The hosts are very responsive and available. I would not hesitate to recommend booking this cabin. I’ll simply mention that the cabin is not a secluded as thought. Other cabins and the hosts’ house are around at this dead end road.

Beautiful Cozy Cabin

My wife and I loved our stay here. The cabin and surrounding land was beautiful. The Dorans and their dogs were very friendly. Check-In/Out was simple and easy. We plan to come back again as soon as possible.

The best out of a bad situation

Cozy little place with character. Lost power our first morning and our hosts were easy to contact and very accommodating. We were offered a different cabin, use of a generator, but chose candles offered by our hosts and used The little wood stove for heat and making coffee. We would definitely stay there again.

Blueberry festival

We enjoyed our stay so much wish we could have stayed longer! It was a rainy blueberry festival but the wood stove warmed us up and the beds were so comfortable. The rain on the tin roof put us right to sleep.played some cards and just enjoyed being unplugged!!

Stunning cabin in a gorgeous setting. We enjoyed it very much and wish we could have stayed longer. Perfect place in Girdwood and host was so kind and helpful. Favorites were the wood burning stove and the many windows letting in the lovely surroundings. Bed was very comfortable and the entire place was perfect.

Hideaway Cabin

Great location! Quaint cabin and supplied with everything you need. Only complaint and very little complaint at that is the bathtub/shower only trickles out the hot water. Takes a very long time to fill up tub or to use for shower. Otherwise, an amazing place to stay.

PASSING THROUGH

Nice kitchen and bed. Did not like the shower and bathroom sink! Very old style shower which was difficult to use and the sink had very little space to lay morning items out to prepare for the day. Location was charming!

Cozy!

Beautiful cabin and property!

This is our favorite place to stay when visiting Alaska. Nothing beats having trails right off the door steps. The Dorans are very kind and friendly. They made us feel right at home when sharing mushrooms and berries they foraged from the woods. 10/10 every time
