This is a perfect spot for a short stay: easy to reach, easy to park your car (I parked on the street, there are also "gated car parks") walking distance to a variety of rest/cafe. The staff are kind and willing to help sincerely. The breakfast is adequate both in variety and quality. The decoration is classic, a bit old but comfortable. Bed/linens were clean, bathroom (again old but useful) is hygienic.

A good stay in Cankaya

The Elit Palas Hotel is a quaint, old-style hotel located in Cankaya. The room was clean and had a small balcony, the staff were friendly and the bed very comfortable. The location was good as it was on a walking street where lots of restaurants and bars are, and is a short walk from a main city shopping street and boulevard. The area is good and to see the major sites of interest in Ankara, you will need to get a bus or taxi. One of the best things about the hotel is the breakfast, which is amazing, with so many choices. My stay was very good and I would recommend. The hotel could improve more if renovations were carried out, but I liked the old style and wooden floors and fixtures within the room and the mattress and bedding was so comfortable

Room not available for 2.00pm check in had to wait until 3.45pm. when checking in at 2pm we were told 10minutes. When I asked again we were told another 10 minutes. We had to get the key card rest every night for the 3days we were there. Breakfast was ok room dated but a good size.

Tired and frayed

Can`t believe they have the audacity to take money from people. Let`s start with location. While it is in a decent location-for WALKING to where you want to go- it is also in a location inundated by traffic and noise!! Next, the outside of the hotel: it looks decent, more like someone`s home than a hotel; at least to me in the few minutes it took to get inside. And then it starts to go downhill, fast!! Walking into the lobby there was a man behind the desk who seemed very anxious; anxious to please, anxious because I was speaking English, anxious because I was about to see the nastiness of the hotel? I don`t know, just overly anxious. The "bellhop" collected my two bags and took them to the very small elevator (normal in Turkey) and up to my room. I waited and went by myself to my room. After stepping off the elevator onto the 3rd floor, the fray and overall mustiness took over. Everywhere I looked and stepped something was falling apart at the seams; carpets, wallpaper, steps, lights, you name it, it was looking bad! Of course by this time I was dreading looking in my room. I was not disappointed. It was exactly as I was expecting it; frayed, dirty, worn down, decrepit. I was afraid to touch the carpeted floor with my stocking feet, so used the provided paper slippers. Areas of wallpaper were DIRTY! The "throw" at the bottom of the mattress was disgustingly dirty, I removed it immediately. The very think "spread" (?) and sheets were clean- or I would have left!!

Odalar çok eski aile odası var ama kapısı yok banyo çok koku var havalandırcı yok küvet içi küf eski buzdolabı öylesine var su bile ılıktı soğutmuyor ve ayrıca Hotelin önünde oturma yeri var evet güzel yanlız gece yarısına kadar oturanlar vardı yükses konuşanlar camlarımızı açamadık kapalı oldu halde ses çok geliyordu birde kahvaltıya ilk gün indik ama yapmadan çıktık çünkü çok yetersizdi maalesef çay bardağı yoktu sade kup uzun fincanlar hiç güzel değildi , tek personeller güler yüzlü ve yardımcılardı gerisi kesinlikle hotelin baştan aşağı yeniliğe ihtiyaç var

Gayet temiz bir otel. Kahvaltı yeterli düzeyde iyi. Çalışanlar güler yüzlü ve yardımcı. Tehlike yaratabilecek yüksek girişli küvet yerine duş kabini konması, klozet kapağı ve klozet fırçası gibi eskiyen bazı banyo malzemelerinin yenilenmesi iyi olacaktır.

12 Haziran’da Elit Palas Hotel’e giriş yaptık ve konaklamamızdan o kadar memnun kaldık ki rezervasyonumuzu Ağustos ortasına kadar uzattık. Otelin konumu mükemmel. Şehrin tam merkezinde; restoranlara, kafelere, barlara, mağazalara ve ihtiyaç duyabileceğiniz her yere yürüme mesafesinde. Ayrıca hastane ve tıbbi randevularım için de son derece kolay ve rahat bir konumda. Odalar her zaman tertemiz, otel huzurlu ve konforlu, fiyatları ise sunduğu hizmete göre çok uygun. Personel harika, güler yüzlü ve her zaman yardım etmeye hazır. İlk günden itibaren kendimizi çok hoş karşılanmış hissettik. Türkiye’ye her dönüşümüzde kesinlikle yine Elit Palas Hotel’de konaklayacağız. Kesinlikle tavsiye ediyoruz. Beş yıldızı fazlasıyla hak ediyor! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
