The apartment was fine and as listed. It was surface clean, but had unclean spots and the towels smelt dusty. The couch bed was not made up as requested and we had to go hunting for sheets etc. The main issue was communication, or lack of, with the managing agent. Despite booking and paying on the Stayz/VRBO app and against the apps rules, the agent sent a payment demand wanting us to pay again using their site - why? After verifying with Stayz that this was correct, we were worried but complied. The next day was check in day and after 2 messages through the app and a direct email, we hadn’t heard anything back about check-in except the payment demand. We went to their offices to be fobbed off and told someone would contact us later. At this stage we were wandering Annecy with our luggage having tried to use the lockers indicated by the letting agent but unable to do so without global roaming or a local SIM card as they require to sms a code for access. Again that angency managed the lockers but offered no assistance. Eventually an agent contacted us to meet us for check in. Check in was just letting us into the apartment. And providing the wifi code. No other info. When we asked about check out clean and where to put rubbish he just said find a street bin. All pretty poor from the agency I think. No wonder the other residents of the building seemed hostile to the rental apartment. I would not recommend renting through that agency - La Conciergerie du Lac
