Good value, nice sized rooms

Neat room, friendly staff, great breakfast! Would stay here again. Having a car is important at this location, however there are pleanty of free parking places in front of the hotel.

This is a great hotel ideally located for a longer visit and walk into the city. Our bed was one of the most comfortable we've ever had in a hotel. Although a long drive from Lincoln may have helped our sleep. The shower was excellent in terms of heat and power but the dated above bath holder and curtain let it down. It was too high and was best hand held or angered on the stability bar. That was a pity as otherise this was a nice hotel with great free parking.

The breakfast has become very disappointing. Over the past years, selection is smaller and quality is less. Nasty glass sausages and bacon which it more boiled than fried. There used to be crab salad and other options. Now it’s only cold cuts and cheese. Also, when a breakfast is until 11 am, you need to make sure that most items are not sold out at 10:30.

Very disappointing stay

Very disappointing stay. Although advertised as a 4 star hotel, there were several issues with our stay. The hairdryers did not work (to which I was only offered a part broken tiny travel hairdryer), the only iron available was broken too and leaked water all over my clothes. The rooms are very dated with leaks from the showers, uncomfortable pillows, very dim and dark lighting and leftover sweets from prior guests were left in one of the rooms which makes me doubt that they were thoroughly cleaned (this seems to be common as mentioned in other reviews too). The housekeeping ladies were quite rude to my colleagues and the older lady receptionist was extremely rude, calling my colleagues room saying that they would be charged a fee if they were 1 minute past the check out time (very strange given that they had not reached the check out time yet). When I asked the receptionist for some advice about getting trains in Belgium, she just said that she doesn’t take public transport instead of trying to help in any way, you expect a little more from a customer service perspective from a 4 star hotel! Only plus was the good breakfast.

Ich würde dieses Hotel nicht erneut buchen. Es ist etwas modernisiert worden, trotzdem war die Einrichtung in die Jahre gekommen. Gegenüber ist ein Einkaufszentrum, was sehr praktisch war. Preis/Leistung hat mich jedoch nicht überzeugt. Das Hotel ist leider keine 4 Sterne. Der Safe im Zimmer funktionierte nicht. Es gab keine vernünftigen Abdunklungsgardinen. Die Sonne schien dir um 7/8 Uhr morgens ins Gesicht. Kein Wasserkocher, keine kleine Kaffeemaschine, keine Gläser, kein Bügeleisen. In anderen 4 Sterne Hotels kriegt man mehr für sein Geld.

A hotel which provides what is needed

Take note, check out is 11am, not the nirmal 12 noon. Beds a but hard. Location a little outside the town centre. Clean and easy hotel to deal with. Staf not overly friendly, however nit rude.
