Clean property, short drive from the beach

Patrick was very attentive to our needs and communicated with us often. The property was very clean. We were surprised that the kitchen and living area are separate from the bedrooms requiring going outside to travel between each. Listing mentions private pool but both the pool and patio are easily in sight of areas shared with the host which was not what we were expecting. Overall pleasant stay.

Perfect!

Comfortable, clean and fab location. This property offered everything we wanted from our holiday. Quiet location but villages very accessible. Lovely walking both in the countryside and around villages. Our favourite cafe was Cactus in Kalyves. Patrick (although not in residence) was helpful and available to answer any questions we had. The internet was not terribly reliable but that did t bother us at all. We had a lovely relaxing holiday.

Villa Amphityonis, Paradise in Crete

My friend and I recently spent a week at this beautiful villa in Tsivaras. I have rented many villas abroad over the years but I have to say this was the most memorable.We had the bottom floor of the villa which was spacious and well equipped with x2 double bedrooms, a large kitchen/living/dining area and a good size bathroom. Each room had mosquito blinds and shutters so you can stay cool without letting any unwanted insects in. There are several places to eat under cover outside, some with large wooden tables in case you go with the family. We chose one at the side of the house so we could sit and eat /have a glass of ouzo while looking over the pool and mountains. The views are spectacular and it is very peaceful with the only noise being the cicadas and birdsong. The pool is amazing, large, inviting and spotlessly clean with steps and a child safety area at one end. Marie and Patrick our hosts live on the top floor and although initially wondering how this would work our concerns were unfounded as they were wonderful, helping us when we needed it but otherwise so discreet we hardly knew they were there. When we enquired about local markets they suggested we follow them into Charnia as they were going the following day. When I was struggling to park our hire car on a slope in the car park Patrick got out of his and did it for me and Marie helped guide me out later (be prepared for crazy Greek driving and parking !) Tsivaris and Vamos are 5 minutes away in the car and have cafes and restaurants....All in all a wonderful villa and fabulous hosts.

Séjour parfait !

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour chez Marie et Patrick. Ce sont des hôtes incroyables ! La maison était parfaite, superbe jardin, piscine extra. Nous avions beaucoup d'intimité, pas de vue sur la piscine ni la terrasse. Nous avons vraiment eu un coup de coeur pour cette région et la maison. Ferienhaus - sehr sehr schön

Ein wunderschönes Ferienhaus, Blick aufs Meer, man ist im Grünen durch die Olivenbäume. Die Vermieter-Familie kommt aus Frankreich und sind sehr aufmerksam und nehmen sich zurück. Viele gute Tipps von Ihnen bekommen. Es war wie im Paradies. Mit dem Auto 7 Minuten bis zum kleinen iStrand, steinig dafür fast allein am Strand.

This is such a beautiful spot - peaceful, great view, 10 minutes from the beach and such a comfortable well appointed apartment. The terrace and garden were delightful too and we looked forward to coming back every day. Patrick was a very helpful and attentive host. He met us when we arrived to give detailed directions. Magnifique séjour!

Tout a été parfait de bout en bout! Patrick et Marie sont des hôtes formidables qui vous mettent à l’aise et font attention à ce que vous vous sentiez bien lors de votre séjour. De la prise de contact avant le voyage, en passant par les courses qui ont été faites pour que nous puissions avoir à manger suite à notre arrivée tardive et les petits conseils sur les alentours, jusqu’à la fin du séjour et le petit apéro échangé ensemble, tout a été parfait. La villa est très belle, confortable et très bien située avec une vue superbe et une jolie piscine. Le jardin est également très beau et bien entretenu. Nous avons vraiment passé un très bon moment en famille et nous sentions comme chez nous lorsque nous étions dans la villa. Nous serons ravis de revenir à nouveau pour y séjourner ou simplement pour revoir ces hôtes très sympathiques.

Ein sehr schönes und ruhiges Feriendomizil

Ein wundervoller Urlaub auf der Insel Kreta ist nun vorüber. Wir alle (auch unsere Kinder) haben die Zeit in der Villa Amphityonis sehr genossen. Der Erstkontakt mit den Vermietern Marie und Patrick war sehr unkompliziert, sie haben uns zahlreiche wertvolle Tipps gegeben und waren immer hilfsbereit. Die Wohnung ist recht groß und sehr gut ausgestattet. Der Pool ist sehr gepflegt und lädt zum Entspannen und Verweilen ein, schon morgens beim Frühstück mit Blick auf die Lefka Ori und auch Abends wenn die Sonne untergeht. Es ist ratsam, sich ein Auto zu mieten, denn die Villa befindet sich auf einem Hügel. Außerdem kann man so den Westen der Insel erkunden. Hier gibt es viel zu sehen und zu erkunden. Nicht nur traumhafte Strände, sondern auch verschiedenen Städte, Ausgrabungsstätten, Schluchten zum Wandern und vieles mehr sind von hier aus mit dem Auto gut zu erreichen. Wir können die Wohnung sehr empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder!

Peaceful property

Fabulous property with spectacular views of mountains & sea. We loved the Private pool & patio with covered seating area & spent many hours relaxing in the shade from the midday sun. The local town Kalives was only a 10 minute drive away & had everything we needed from butcher, chemist, small supermarket & of course lots of tavernas. Definitely a place for a restful holiday

Superbe villa dans un cadre magnifique ! Idéalement placée pour visiter l’Ouest de l’île !

Location qui correspond en tout point à sa description en mieux même ! Vue sur les montagnes, au calme, avec une superbe piscine. Patrick et Marie nous ont donné de très bons conseils pour profiter de notre séjour et découvrir l’Ouest de l’île. Ce sont des hôtes très attentionnés qui nous avaient même acheté tout ce qu’il fallait pour le petit déjeuner du lendemain de notre arrivée. La villa est à 10 mn de la plage de Kalyves, au calme dans un appartement tout confort. Un grand merci à Patrick et Marie de nous faire partager leur superbe villa ! Vous pouvez y aller les yeux à fermer !

Sehr empehlenswert!

Wir haben zwei sehr angenehme Wochen in der Villa von Patrick und Marie verbracht. Der Umgang mit den Gastgebern war freundlich und unkompliziert, das Haus und die Anlage sind sehr gepflegt und mit allem ausgestattet, was für einen schönen und entspannten Urlaub nötig ist. In der Umgebung gibt es sehr viele interessante Sehenswürdigkeiten. Wir können diesen Urlaub vorbehaltlos weiterempfehlen.

Urlaub im Paradies

Wir haben einen höchst erholsamen Urlaub in der Villa Amphityonis verbracht. Es hat an nichts gemangelt, der Ausblick war Balsam für die Seele, der Pool höchst erfrischend, die nahen Strände (2-3km) perfekt für den Urlaub mit Kleinkind. Patrick und Marie waren sehr aufmerksame und fürsorgliche Gastgeber - nochmal ein dickes Dankeschön für alles!! In der Umgebung (etwa 2km) gibt es zahlreiche Tavernen, Bäckereien, Supermärkte, ein Auto ist allerdings von Vorteil. Die Insel hat so viele tolle Dinge zu bieten, dass einem nicht langweilig wird. Chania und Rhetymnon sind super hübsche Hafen-Städtchen, eine Fahrt in den Süden (Frangocastello) durch die imposante Bergwelt hinterlässt bleibende Eindrücke! Alles in allem eine eindeutige Empfehlung! Kreta - wir kommen wieder!

Tout à été absolument formidable...L'accueil et la gentillesse de Patrick et Marie, leur rapidité à résoudre les moindres petits soucis éventuels... Le logement parfait pour notre famille: très fonctionnel, spacieux, confortable, très bien équipé et joliment aménagé...Et les extérieurs dans la même veine...Un petit paradis avec une terrasse superbe et la piscine et ses matelas gonflables...Patrick et Marie ont pensé à tout pour le confort de leurs hôtes et c'est vraiment très très agréable...Vite revenir!!!!!! Une villa WHAOU ! Un accueil chaleureux de Marie et Patrick, hôtes charmants et attentionnés, pour un séjour inoubliable. Nous avons découvert la Crète sur un air de victoire de coupe du monde, finale à laquelle nous avons assisté en compagnie de nos hôtes et de quelques français, encore merci à Patrick pour l'organisation de la soirée et à Marie pour l'animation. La Crète est une ile charmante et accueillante. Paysages, et nourritures sont à découvrir.

Quel merveilleux séjour ! Une villa idéalement située pour s’émerveiller du paysage, être au calme, débuter des randonnées parfumées d’essences de lauriers-roses et de garrigue, profiter d’une magnifique piscine et accéder facilement à toutes les sources de plaisir, avec la sympathie et les précieux conseils de Marie et Patrick, toujours prévenants et attentionnés. La plage de KALIVES, la splendide forteresse vénitienne de GRAMVOUSA, le lagon paradisiaque de BALOS, le charme vénitien de LA CANEE avec son marché haut en couleur, l’atmosphère chaleureuse de VAMOS et de GAVALOCHORI, les eaux turquoises d’OMBROSGIALOS, les Georges d’IMBROS et de DICTAMOS, les vestiges antiques d’APTERA et le château fort planté sur un site panoramique sont autant de lieux mémorables, ponctués de soirées dans les tavernes pour découvrir une cuisine savoureuse et les danses crétoises au son du bouzouki. Mais bien d’autres ambiances et sites restent à découvrir. Partout s’impose l’âme hospitalière des crétois. Un séjour merveilleux et inoubliable !

So nice !

We had a fantastic stay at the Villa Amphityonis ! The perfectly clean swimming pool with generous terraces, pergola and open view was a real dream. The appartment on the ground floor is quiet, well-equipped and cosy. We enjoyed a lot the magnificent region of Apokoronas : gentle hills (for Crete !), flowery countryside full of small authentic villages, sandy or rocky snorkeling beaches...Tsivaras is a quiet and relaxing place just a 30 minutes drive of Chania. Last but not least : Patrick and Marie are showing great qualities as hosts : giving very useful tips, caring nicely of you...in all discretion. We thanks them a lot and highly recommend the Villa Amphityonis !

Un havre de paix

Nous avons passé 3 semaines merveilleuses à Tsivaras. La villa est parfaite et très confortable avec tout l'équipement nécessaire ainsi qu'un barbecue et une plancha. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié manger sous la tonnelle. Superbe piscine avec vue panoramique entre mer et montagnes, la plage et les commerces sont à proximité en voiture. Traumhafte Ferienwohnung für Familien

Die Ferienwohnung hat unsere (Familie mit 2 kleinen KIndern 3+5) Erwartungen übertroffen. Der erste Kontakt mit den Vermietern Marie und Patrick war schnell, unkompliziert und wir haben vor Ort einen tollen Empfang gehabt. Da die sehr netten Vermieter anwesend waren, konnten wir jederzeit mit Fragen auf sie zukommen und haben tolle Ausflugstipps erhalten. Die Wohnung ist in einem sehr guten Zustand und absolut gepflegt. Die Zimmer sind sauber und geräumig. Die Küche hat alles was man braucht. Das Highlight ist ganz klar die tolle Terasse mit dem schönen Pool und die herrliche Aussicht auf die Berge und das Hinterland. Unsere Kinder liebten den Pool, vor allem unser kleiner "Nichtschwimmer" freute sich über den integrierten Kinderbereich. Marie und Patrick hatten für unsere Kinder auch Spielzeug parat, was für große Freude gesorgt hat. Die Lage ist sehr günstig, da man von hier viele Ausflüge machen kann und zwei schöne Badeorte direkt vor der Tür hat. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Liebe Grüße Katrin, Frank, Amelie und Niklas
