"The hotel was clean and close to everything. They supplied body wash and shampoo (no conditioner - so bring if you want that!). I asked for a washcloth but they gave me a hand towel - so no washcloths available. They also provide robes to the guests and slippers. With it being such a high end hotel - I would have assumed they would have had washcloths and conditioner. The breakfast buffet was very good - there were several options and the coffee was good. I would return back to this hotel if we were staying in Milan again."

"The front desk staff was extremely unfriendly. After traveling for hours with small children, we arrived expecting a warm welcome. Instead, the first thing we were told was that we were obligated to pay an additional $200 Euros because the reservation did not indicate we were bringing our 4-year-old daughter! We ended up staying in the same type of room but paying $200 more just so our daughter could use the sofa bed. The rooms were dark and very hot. The AC did not work properly, and we were sweating the entire time. The only positives were the views, the bellman Francesco, and the bed, which was decent. Take your money elsewhere and stay somewhere you will be treated with respect. The front desk clerk showed zero compassion or care for exhausted parents traveling with young children who needed a room right away. Overall, it felt like a very sketchy business practice."

"The Aethos Milano is a bit of a hidden gem, somewhat removed from the tourist jumble around the Duomo and Galleria. It sits on a busy thoroughfare and is almost invisible from the street if not for the small name on the awning. Once inside, it's a maze of interestingly-decorated lounge and restaurant spaces, which one must navigate to reach the elevator to your room. The hotel staff was outstanding in every regard, with a special shout-out to the helpful ladies at the front desk and the friendly servers at the breakfast venue. (BTW, the daily breakfast included with the room was excellent.) We stayed in a Junior Suite, which was really nothing more than a slightly oversized room with a large outdoor terrace. The room was very clean, comfortable and well-appointed. The outdoor area was nice but afforded you almost no privacy from your neighbors save for a few strategically-placed plants. All in all, we had an enjoyable stay, but a word of caution: Take a quick look at the hotel's website and social media feed. It will give you a clear understanding of the demographic to which they try to cater—the young and/or trendy. Are you the type who enjoys a DJ spinning tunes at Sunday brunch? Do you expect your hotel to be "Instagrammable"? Do you prefer a quiet-night's sleep or a party scene? Not to judge, but these are all things to consider before booking here."

"This place was terrible and I do not recommend. We arrived at 6 AM at the property and our room was not ready until 3 PM. Several guests that arrived before 3 PM were given rooms earlier for check in but they seemed annoyed that we kept asking. Terrible service. They told me I had an “upgraded room” and it was more outdated and worn down that the other normal room by family stayed at. My trip to Europe was amazing but this hotel was the only stay that was disappointing."
