"Long-Time Repeat Guest — 4 Stars Instead of 5 Because of One Terrible Family We’ve been coming to Marine Village Resort for the past 8 years, usually a couple of times a year, and have always enjoyed it. The staff are consistently helpful, the rooms are clean, and the AC works great (nice and cold when you need it). The beachfront location in Lake George Village is hard to beat. What dropped this stay from a 5-star experience was one horrible large family that made the whole place miserable. They blasted loud music, the kids were constantly dropping F-bombs, left garbage everywhere, and sat on other people’s boats like they owned them. The worst incident was when they lit a loud firecracker right near little kids, spraying them with shrapnel from the sand and the culprit(one of the fathers and his teenage boy) had the nerve to laugh at what they did. Management should seriously consider flagging disruptive guests like this and preventing them from returning. We love this resort and will likely be back, but we hope they address guest behavior issues so future visits can stay as relaxing as they used to be."

"Food was not good on this trip, poolside menu changed from last year and was not better. New staff was still weak in training, orders came out wrong few times at different meal times, longer wait for food and service. Housekeeping was the best, so helpful and so friendly. Paid a lot of money for lake front and no incentives provided, not even breakfast, or lake activities, been staying here 5 years in a row and this one was very expensive and too many issues."

"This is our 3rd year staying at this hotel, and we absolutely love it here. We love how small and homey the hotel feels, we also love that it's a 5 minute walking distance to town. It's great to be so close but without all the crazy and chaotic crowds. We also love the fact that the pool is in a little green house so that we can still go swimming even during storms or extreme heat. This is the place that we stay every single time because it's perfect for our family."

"This was the second time we stayed in this hotel. This time we were in the older section. We were disappointed with the room. First was the toilet seat was broken. The shower has a half of a door, so when you take a shower, you flood the bathroom floor. The A/C system was very loud; the room was dark as we had to keep the curtains closed so we could have some privacy with all of the people walking by the room and we did not want them looking in our room. My wife said that one of the beds smelled like urine. The floor was half carpet and half vinyl with a dividing strip that when walking bare foot, it felt like stepping on something sharp. There were not enough outlets in the room and the one that were there you had to look at the bottom of the lamps for them as there were none on the walls for us to charge our devices and for me to use my cpap machine."

"Great hotel in the heart of the town of Lake George. Walkable to restaurants and entertainment for families and couples. Beautiful view from the roof is a huge win. We saw families bringing take-away food up to the roof to enjoy the view, seating options, and calm vibes. Hotel room was generously-sized, clean, and comfortable. We will definitely be back!"
