Hotel Venere is right on the main street in town. The Pizza/Sub place across the street was a great choice.
We had a double room w/sleep sofa. (Very comfortable) for 5 adults. This was one of the only rentals that would take a couple of days instead of Saturday to Saturday. The young man behind the desk was very helpful and spoke English.
We will definitely stay there again.

Personale molto cortese.
Colazione normale, senza infamia e senza lode.

Excellent base for cycling in the National Park
We used the Hotel Venere as a bed and breakfast base to cycle around the Parco Nazionale del Cilento e Vallo di Diano. Being out of the main holiday season the area was quite with only one restaurant open in Ascea - but this had the advantage that the roads were quite.
The hotel is only a short distance from the railway station meaning that it was easy to transport bikes.
