This is a great hotel. The location provides easy access to shopping, restaurants and water taxis. All the staff are extremely helpful and they even send you home with a delicious pastry.

I can say enough positive things about this lovely family run hotel in Asti. The attention to detail, the superb breakfast and the thoughtfulness of the staff rivals a 5 star hotel. I have stayed there 4 times and everything has always been top shelf! Highly recommended!

A Piece of heaven in Asti

This hotel was absolutely first class! The service was impeccable - great staff - so attentive and helpful. The breakfast was easily the most exquisite breakfast I gave ever seen. I can’t begin to explain everything that was available from juice of any kind made on the spot, to pastries, cakes, cheeses, meats. It was to die for.

Awesome hotel!

Can’t say enough good things about this hotel! The staff were so accommodating to our every need. The breakfast was fabulous! Rooms were clean and quite roomy. The location is great. Many shops and restaurants all within walking distance

Fantastic location. Most wonderful breakfast we have ever had at a stay. Hospitality super plus! Staff were so accommodating. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

We had an excellent 7 night stay at the Hotel Lis. The staff were all helpful, pleasant and professional. We had a small problem with our mini bar light - it was fixed quickly and with no fuss. Smiles and greetings from all staff. The breakfast is truly outstanding; we travel extensively in Europe and this was one of the best ever. Fresh, local, great variety, helpful staff... and the cakes!! Our room was quiet, well-equipped with a comfortable bed. Nothing flash but designed to provide a comfortable stay - we much prefer function to form and the hotel excelled here. Finally, the hotel is located an easy 10 minute walk from the train station and close to the beautiful Old Town of Asti and its many attractions. Highly recommended.

A great family run business close to city centre. Pros - best breakfast ever! Owners provide hands in service. Freshly squeezed juices, 13 handmade cakes on offer and handmade breads. Very clean rooms Limited parking available Cons- can be noisy at night which made sleeping difficult

I am not in the habit of reviewing hotels. When a hotel is as I expected it to be, I do not feel the need to review it, and when it is a little under my expectations, I don’t do it because I might be biased. I write reviews only if the hotel either was very bad, or it impressed me. Lis is in the second category. It is listed as a three star hotel, but offered services that we had only in five star hotels. The room was very clean, they offered slippers (we did not get them for instance at Doubletree by Hilton, even though we are diamond members), They even offered us a bottle of local wine. The breakfast was excellent, huge variety and freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juice. And the hotel is located close to all tourist attractions, and also offered free onside parking. (We stayed at a hotel recommended by Michelin and it did not compare with the Lis.) I am recommending this hotel fullheartidly!

A fantasy place to stay. Rooms are laid out nicely, the staff are fantastic and helpful to me in that most spoke English. I was surprised to find a bottle of wine and a fruit basket as a welcome gift from the hotel. But the bigger surprise was the breakfast! One of the most spectacular offerings I have seen. Fresh fruit, custom made juice drinks, a honey bar, freshly baked bread and pastries, and an assortment of traditional and local breakfast options. It’s worth staying here just for the breakfast!

Top hotel in Asti…

The owners and staff were incredibly nice, courteous and accommodating providing a friendly and welcoming service. The room was lovely and included a welcome of fruit and wine in our room. We need to return to Italy and will be staying there again on our journey there and back. Thank you for a lovely stay.

If you are EVER in Asti, Italy or if you’re close, STAY HERE. STAY!!! HERE!!!!The team that owns/runs/manages/serves/cleans/sweeps whatever! are the most hospitable and kind and accommodating and polite folks you will ever meet. The breakfast buffet is the - sorry, I just don’t have the right superlative. You will know. You will never regret. And if you’re not in or near Asti, change you plans. Come!!
