Unfortunately, our experience was very different from what we expected based on the listing. While the interior of the apartment itself was reasonably presented in some respects, there were several significant issues that future guests should be aware of.The building entrance and common areas were in poor condition, and my father actually tripped in the entrance area. We also had concerns about the condition of the elevator. In addition, the building entrance was unsecured for portions of the night, which made my parents feel uncomfortable and unsafe.There were also important aspects of the apartment that were not clear from the listing. Most notably, the shower is not located inside the bathroom. It is located outside the bathroom in the open area between the small kitchen and bathroom. This is a very unusual configuration that was not clearly depicted or disclosed when we booked. We also learned that the water heater needed to be manually switched on approximately 15 minutes before hot water was needed, which we would have appreciated knowing beforehand.Because of the overall conditions and concerns, my parents ultimately checked out early and moved to a hotel, resulting in additional expense. We requested a refund only for the two nights they did not use, but after extensive correspondence and escalation, the request was denied.I’m sharing this so future travelers have information we wish we had before booking, particularly regarding the building/common areas
