Disappointing Stay & Hugely Overpriced
The only saving grace of this holiday was the location, within walking distance of the beach, park, restaurants, and shops. Beyond that, the experience was highly frustrating and not recommended unless major improvements are made.
-Cleanliness & Safety: The apartment was very dusty and dirty under furniture. While pest control was done prior to arrival, dangerous pesticide powder was left on the floors despite the hosts knowing we had young children. Worse, we found over 15 live cockroaches and worms near the sink, sofa, and floors.
-Poor Communication: Check-in was a disaster. Nobody met us, explained where the key was, or answered calls. We spent 15+ minutes stranded outside with our luggage, kids, and taxi driver. The host remained difficult to reach throughout our stay.
-Amenities: The Wi-Fi barely worked, and the oven was broken. Hot water, AC, and the washing machine completely shut off whenever the key card was removed from the electricity slot.
-The Good & The Bad: While extra linens, beach towels, and detergent were useful, basic essentials were missing. There was no bottled water on arrival, no mosquito repellents (despite many bugs), poor blackout curtains for the sofa bed, and no floor wiper for the constantly flooded bathroom.
Without the prime location, this would have been a terrible experience. It is vastly overpriced for the current lack of cleanliness, maintenance, and safety.
