"Excellent beach front hotel to stay at. Spacious clean rooms and straightforward check in and check out process."

"I walked into the room and was blown away by the smell of cleaning products. I tried to open the window for some fresh air, but they are sealed shut. I just thought, "At least it's clean," and tried to make the best of it. I went in to use the bathroom, and there was something on the floor that was slimy & sticky all at the same time. I wiped the floor up with a hand towel, and it was gray & so gross. I wanted to take a bath, but the bathtub had a bunch of yellow slime in it. Tried to wipe it out, and some of it came off. In short, the bathroom was filthy! I was sick to my stomach, and I had a headache from the fumes. I didn't even stay. I checked about an hour and a half after I checked in. They offered me another room, but I cannot imagine it would be any cleaner or less pungent. I was too disgusted to stay. A waste of money, but I just couldn't stay."

"The good: Love the ocean front room. The view is beautiful. The restaurant downstairs is convenient and decent. The not so good: The beach chairs and umbrellas are in a sad state, falling apart. They used to charge for them. They can't anymore, so they now charge $20 plus tax per day to park in their parking lot at the hotel. The design of the double room has the air conditioner blowing on the face of the person in the bed closest to the sliding glass door. The ice machine was down on our floor for the entire trip. The offered beach towels are small mismatched bath towels. We have stayed here for the past 6 years and are disappointed with the recent changes"

"Everything was great until I pulled back the covers to get in the king size bed and found it was full of sand and very small dark curly hairs. Since I didn’t want to cause a fuss at 1 am with the security guard, who was the only staff available from 7 - 7, I pulled all the bedding off and slept in one of the twin beds instead. Definitely a one and done at the Atlantic Beach Resort for me. I would ask for a refund if I thought they would issue one."

"We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with our family! Although the weather wasn’t ideal beach weather we hardly noticed!! The hot tub and pool kept the grandchildren entertained and the closeness to the ocean made beach walks and shelling perfect!! My husband and I enjoyed the master suite and ocean view!! We all loved the quaintness of the house!! We would definitely rent again!"
