Now the Premier Inn

This hotel has now become a Premier Inn. We booked in March to stay at the Holiday Inn Express. We received an email from Premier Inn saying they would honour our booking. This was not quite the case and we are still waiting to hear from Premier Inn. Having paid in full through Expedia, was told at reception on booking in that we haven't paid so a credit card was presented and payment taken (again) from that. When we checked out, I had the email confirmation from Expedia which stated it had been paid in full. Hotel staff were very obliging and stated we should not have paid for breakfast either as that was included in the Holiday Inn Express price. They were trying to sort this out as we left, still waiting to hear from them as to the result, hopefully a refund into my credit card. Otherwise the hotel was excellent, ideal location, inexpensive meals, great and friendly staff - hello Laura :)

Great stay was excellent value for money. Breakfast was included in our price and wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised with choice.

the lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. the breakfast was ok - with small plates and small glasses no doubt to encourage small portions - and the smallest pastries ever. the tv remote control didn't work, but you could work the tv with the buttons on the top. i hadn't known what an "accessible" room was before I booked. It means fitted for disabled or wheelchairs. I didn't need these fittings, and wouldn't choose this again. I hope I didn't accidentally deprive someone who needed these facilities. It had been the only double room available at booking.

Holiday Inn Express Ayr - lovely team & good value

Had a two night stay recently and would highly recommend, pretty much the cheapest deal for two nights we found anywhere in Scotland - nicely appointed hotel, with bar and a decent brekkie. Staff where excellent a real bonus in this place, they were great. You get a larger bed in most other places, but that is a real minor quibble. Superb value for a really nice stay, easy to get to (you need a car before and during your stay though), clean, smart and a good place to stay for a wee trip to Ayr.

Holiday in express Ayr

Very comfortable stay at this hotel, very clean and great service, staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Only downside was breakfast, very little choice of food but for the price we paid can't really complain.

Great place for convenience

This was a brief trip to visit family. This hotel was near the main road network and easy to find. Lovely modern hotel, good service, great price, really good breakfast. The only slight thing was some cobwebs and hair in the sink otherwise perfectly clean. We didn't complain as we were very tired. Overall I would happily stay there again. If you wanted to be near the beach then you might want to stay in the smaller hotels in the town but with this you have the benefit of knowing what to expect as it's a chain.

breakfast from 5 am -great for us as we had to be ice rink very early hairdryer not working but hotel staff brought us a replacement in about 2 minutes when i phoned down at 6 am great friendly people

My partner,myself and two young sons aged 2 years and 7 weeks old stayed in a family room at the hotel and were very satisfied at the excellent service from the staff.The room was very clean and comfortable.the only gripe we had was the overpriced meal and drinks.Overall a lovely stay and staff made our family very welcome.would stay again.

Difficile de trouver l'hôtel, de nuit en tous cas. Environnement peu séduisant. Mais une fois à l'intérieur, l'impression change. Hôtel moderne confortable, de rapport qualité prix excellent, proche de l'aéroport de Prestwick. Idéal pour une arrivée de nuit, à condition de le trouver!
