This chateau is tiny compared to the famous nearby Hautefort castle but it has its own charm. The castle was partially destroyed by the Germans during the Second World War because of its owner's involvement in the Resistance, but rebuilt following the war. It still belongs to the same ancient family but opens once a year for visitors.
This sleepy little village sits alongside a chateau that is still held in private hands. It tumbles down the side of a ridge that affords spectacular views of the surrounding rolling green hills.
