Come for a retreat here in the midst of the outdoors, but with all your luxurious amenities. Cabin is fully loaded with everything you need to enjoy your stay: Grill, outdoor deck with a view, fireplace, oven/stove, full-size fridge, microwave, washer/dryer, Fiber Wifi, two TVs and a coffee bar. Small but spacious, sleeps 4-6 with a king bed in the master bedroom, sleeper sofa in the living room and two twin beds in the quaint loft. The loft is accessible by a ladder and is recommended for children over 8 years old and adults only.

The outdoor lounging is the highlight – view of the mountains, wildlife all around, and you are just a stone's throw from the river, and can hear the water at night. There is a dining table outside on the covered porch. Due to the small space inside, we do not have a dining table indoors. But we have provided TV trays for eating in the living room.

Please bring your pups! Dogs left unattended should be well-trained. Puppies under 1 should be crated when you are not home. We have also provided a gate to block the entrance to the covered porch if you want your pups to hang out with you outside.

Renters will have access to Elk River across Banner Elk Hwy for exploring and fly fishing. Come catch your breath or have an active stay here at the Husky Hideaway.

This place is fantastic! We will be booking again

We had an unbelievable time at this property! The gated community is so nice and quaint, and the houses all look very well maintained and cozy. Husky Hideaway was absolutely perfect for my wife and I, and our dog Coors. We certainly will be booking again due to not only the house, but the proximity to banner elk/Boone

Girl’s Getaway

Husky Hideaway was the perfect spot for us to spend our girls getaway. We spent the morning sipping coffee in the rocking chairs enjoying the Mountain View and afternoons in the same spot with wine and cheese. It was the perfect location for hiking, restaurants and shopping. We’ll definitely be back!

It was extremely relaxing and the weather was cool and refreshing! The porch with the rocking chairs was the best! There were many activities to do like the Alpine Coaster and Skylift Chair ride at Beech Mountain. Also Grandfather Winery was fun. Saw lots of animals- deer, rabbits and birds. The home was very comfortable and perfect size for the two of us and our mini poodle loved it too!

Perfect home base for day hiking

This property was clean and comfortable and I loved being able to sit on the covered porch, even when it was raining. This was the ideal home base for day hiking around Grandfather mountain, Linville gorge, and Carvers Gap/Roan Mountain.

Winter vacation

This place was great for the two of us and the pup. Amazing views and a family of deer every morning. Definitely need 4x4 in the winter just incase. Only thing that was a negative was the outside heaters and grill didn't have any gas but not a big deal when it was under 15 in the daytime lol.

Cute and Clean

Cabin is just as described, easy to find and super clean. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the deck with beautiful views. The only issue was not receiving the gate code before we arrived, and not receiving a timely response from the host. Overall we look forward to staying here again.

Great Deal in a nice neighborhood!

We loved our dog friendly stay at Husky Hideaway! We brought our 2 dogs for their first ever vacation. The back deck is where we spent most of our time. The pups loved running around the deck and people/deer watching. We met the next door neighbors who live there full time and they were extremely friendly. The neighborhood has 8 houses and is the perfect size for a quiet retreat. You do hear road noise from the “highway” but honestly you will hear that from any house whether you are close or far up from it because the sound travels in the mountains. It did not bother us. We only wish the kitchen had some counter space as we like to stay in and cook on our trips but the pictures are very accurate and we ended up grilling most of our meals as the weather was perfect during our stay. This is a very dog/kid friendly home and we hope to visit again. We wanted to extend our stay however the cabin was booked for the same day we were scheduled to leave so we ended up booking the cabin up the driveway for 2 more days to see a little snow. The neighborhood is not directly in The Lodges of Eagles Nest but just a short drive away and after driving through the big part of that neighborhood I would say I much preferred our little “Fish Camp” over the huge homes with endless winding roads in the main part of Eagles Nest. You are close to downtown Banner Elk (great dog store btw) and there is a Food Lion and Ingles not too far away. Thanks for hosting us!

Nice weekend getaway

Location was nice and private. Great cabin for 2 people for the weekend. Kitchen is a bit small, would be nice to have something to place over the sink for more countertop space. But we still made it work in the small space. Loved the cabin overall, no issues.

Husky Hideaway does not disappoint

The Husky Hideaway offers a very convenient location and private surroundings. The home is beautifully decorated and cozy. We loved that it was pet friendly and our dogs enjoyed their vacation as much as we did! We will definitely plan to come back!

This is a perfect 2-person getaway. Easy access, nice bed, nice shower, great porch to sit and enjoy deer walking by. Manager was attentive to our needs.

Wonderful weekend getaway

We had a lovely weekend staying at the Husky Hideaway. The house was clean, close to downtown banner elk and various activities. Our girls loved the loft and it was the perfect fit for our weekend getaway as a family. We even had some luck fly fishing the elk river which is right by the property, bonus! Really enjoyed and highly recommend!

Great location and good property

I couldn’t recommend this property enough. It is really close to downtown Banner Elk. It was very easy to go explore Sugar Mountain, hike on Beech Mountain, and go to Grandfather Mountain with a quick drive. The kitchen was hard to cook in because there is no counters so we only made breakfast in the cabins and then packed lunches and ate dinner out at all the restaurants that are close. I hope to be back again!

Perfect!

We were thrilled with this property. The warmth of the home, the deck, and the peace and quiet. It is wonderful to find a house that allows pets. The location is perfect. Banner Elk has some great restaurants. Sugar Mountain was fun. The tubing at Hawks Nest was fun. We would love to get back to the area in the summertime.

Clean and quaint

We really enjoyed our stay at the Husky Hideaway. The place was cozy, clean, and nicely decorated. The master bed and loft beds were reasonably comfortable but the pullout couch was lumpy and you could feel the springs (I wouldn’t recommend sleeping on it). It was difficult for 4 of us to share a single bathroom but the bathroom was roomy with a great shower. We were able see snow falling and the view of it from the loft was especially breathtaking. The property was enjoyable with about 7 properties that were behind a coded gate that occasionally malfunctioned (opening and closing repeatedly). But being behind a coded gate offered a feeling of added security. The property was directly across from an old graveyard which kept my teens a little anxious. It had a cozy porch that included an outdoor heater and a couple of rocking chairs to enjoy the view. Overall, It was a lovely cabin, located close enough to the ski resorts and close to a grocery store and nice restaurants (loved Brick Oven on Beech Mountain). There was plenty of space to walk the dogs and we didn’t have to worry about the noise from the dogs or kids disturbing the neighbors. I would definitely recommend this cabin and would love to stay here again.

Relaxing holiday weekend

Beautiful home with everything you need to enjoy the natural surroundings. Quiet small street of homes very close to downtown Banner Elk. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were so grateful to be able to include our dogs.

What a beautiful cabin! Only about 10 minutes from Sugar Mountain. Great central location. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Highly recommend!

Quick Get-A-Way

We had a great time. The location was very convenient to a lot of the local attractions and the house was the perfect size for a quick get-a-way. My husband could have stayed on the porch all day and watched the deer.
