You'll love this location- tucked away in the trees, yet only steps from the best Banner Elk has to offer. The views are stunning from this 2 bedroom, open-floor plan upstairs unit that overlooks quaint downtown Banner Elk below and the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains beyond. We hope that the brand new full kitchen (no dishwasher), laundry room and en suite baths will be everything you're looking for, and more.

A five minute walk down the mountain and you'll be in the middle of the Main Street shopping and dining district. Three minutes more and you've arrived at Tate Evans Park the perfect spot for a stroll to the stream, playtime in the field or on the playground or to attend one of the many outdoor concerts. It is perfectly situated between Beech and Sugar mountains and only 30 minutes to Boone.

Family Spring Break trip

We had a wonderful Spring Break stay at The Blue Elk. This cozy rental is very nicely remodeled and had everything we needed and more. The beds were comfortable and the views are great. Great location near downtown Banner Elk. Will be back!

Such a great place!

We had the best time and absolutely loved this precious house. It’s right in the middle of banner elk and so close to multiple restaurants, also right in between beech mountain and sugar mountain. Kyle and Ashley were so helpful with recommendations and always responded so quickly. We for sure want to come back! Couldn’t have asked for a better host!

One of our favorite vacation rentals ever -- stunning views from the wraparound deck, comfortable seating and beds, very clean, and all amenities included. The doe and twin fawns hanging out by the parking area were an added bonus. Our hosts were very responsive, we highly recommend this home.

A well appointed 2 bedroom penthouse with easy access to downtown Banner Elk. Everything you need for a relaxing stay. Outstanding views from walls of windows! Perfect even in the rain.

Very well maintained, perfectly clean, 2 bedroom spot in a great location in Banner Elk. Might get a little tight if you spend more than a few days there, but perfect for 2 couples or a small family for a long weekend. Loved all the windows and the lovely view. Beds were comfortable. Nice modern design. Good spot for a reasonable price.

Quaint little place over looking downtown banner elk. Perfect for my family of 3 with two bedrooms. My daughter loved the swing chair. I appreciated the communications from the owner and would stay again given the opportunity.

Lovely stay at The Blue Elk

5 stars, hands down! This rental is a gem, with its perfect location and a clean airy atmosphere It was perfect for our family of 3. The Blue Elk would also be perfect for two couples traveling together as well, as it has 2 master bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The owners were great, and so responsive. We loved The Blue Elk for its location. We were able to visit town within a minute drive and get to Sugar and Beech mountain in 10 minutes or less as it’s right in the middle of both.The house itself is perfectly decorated, clean and functional with all kitchen/bathroom needs available. We can’t wait to visit again!

A very clean and well maintained property with a lovely view. The proximity to Main Street is great but it is a very steep walk back. Parking and access road is a little tricky, but ok once you get used to it. Great communication from the owner and a lovely place to stay in Banner Elk.

Incredible Views and Convenience

The property was perfect for our needs as 2 adults wanting to walk to nearby restaurants. The views of Sugar Mountain and Grandfather Mountain were spectacular. Communication with the owners was excellent. For us, the property is highly recommended.

Mountain haven experience

Could not have expected more comfort and convenience for the money. Great views of the mountains and the village directly below the property. Tastefully decorated without any clutter. Even the bed linens and towels were just a little nicer than expected. We went on two mountain trail hikes that were just short distance away with several more to choose from. We hope to be back soon.

Location, location, location!

Our family loved this home! It was perfect for our long weekend to explore the area and do some hiking at Grandfather Mountain. There were too many local restaurants in Banner Elk to try them all, but we enjoyed all three places we went to. The home is small, but the views are HUGE! And the natural light, high ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling windows made it feel like we had more than enough room. We didn’t cook in the home, but it seemed well-stocked with anything we could’ve needed. The hosts were quick to respond when I requested dining and hiking recommendations, and when we ran into a WiFi snag the first night (our mistake, not the hosts’), they sent a message with assistance within minutes. We will definitely stay at this home again the next time we’re in the area. 100% recommend!
