Dormy Inn SEOUL Gangnam

"We had an overall comfortable stay at Dormy Inn. Location: It had a great location in Gangnam. It was only a 5-10 minute walk from the nearest train station with a small Olive Young, pharmacies, 7eleven/ GS25, cafes, and restaurants. Room: The room was small especially if you have to open your luggage, but it was functional and the size was disclosed to us when booking. They offer basic amenities in the room (i.e. blow dryer, soap, shampoo, conditioner) and if you required toothbrushes, plastic cutlery/ plates, etc it is available for purchase in a vending machine in the lobby beside a money exchange machine and a hot water/ tea/ coffee station. The bed was clean with standard sheets and pillows. They provided 2 pillows but we were able to ask for additional pillows at the front desk (they offer 3-4 types of pillows). Lobby staff were multi-lingual, friendly, and helpful. We were able to check in 1 hr earlier than expected but we saw an area in the lobby where they kept luggages stored for those who tried to check in earlier. Bathroom: The room was clean, but my only complaint was that the shower had some black mold. Other amenities: They have laundry machines (cash only) located next to the spas. They also offer breakfast for an additional charge but we did not try the breakfast."

"Generally old property.. but staff is excellent. Always available and helpful. Location is excellent..near Subway and bus stops and airport bus too. Room has a high ceiling and is big. Has a tub too. Iron and board as well. It is a boutique hotel. There is an excellent coffee shop in front. Steamers Coffee. Excellent coffee and baristas and pleasant ambiance...Enjoy!"

"I wish the room had more hooks on the walls. The space is so limited and had hard time getting organized with clothes, bags, hats, etc. multiple hooks on the walls would have helped out greatly. the closet space (cloth rack) is too small and too high up and there was no stool to reach easily. crazy. also - power outlets were so hard to reach. why can't you have usb c or usb outlet on the table like on the lamp like other hotels? what about more 110V power outlets for travelers from the US..."

"This hotel was just recently built, so the facility is still very nice and new. The location is fantastic, just across the street from Yongsan station and near so many restaurants and shopping areas. The rooms were nice and clean, and they even have free luggage storage for up to 12 hours, and a luggage organizing station which made it very useful on the last day of travels. Would definitely come back!"
