Stunning Sunsets and Ocean Views in Bar Harbor

Our spacious, comfortable home features panoramic ocean views and stunning sunsets in a quiet setting, perfect for a relaxing Maine vacation. Furnished in a bright and airy cottage style, the house is decorated with original antiques, art and textiles. With three bedrooms and two baths upstairs, and a private suite with sitting room and full bath downstairs, this home is perfect for multi-generations or couples traveling together. Nature lovers will enjoy the walking trail that leads to our own private cove. The house is centrally located on Mount Desert Island, 15 minutes from the lively village of Bar Harbor, the "quiet side" village of Southwest Harbor, and the entrance to Acadia National Park.

FIRST FLOOR: Modern Kitchen with breakfast table for two. Half Bathroom off Kitchen. Living Room with panoramic ocean views. Dining Area with ocean views and table that seats up to six people. Guest Suite with two twin beds, ocean views, sitting area with TV, and bathroom with shower.

SECOND FLOOR: Master Suite with queen bed and sitting area with water views, Full Bath and additional Sitting Room/Den with TV. Bedroom with double bed and water views. Bedroom with two twin beds. Bathroom with shower off hallway.

APPLIANCES: Well-equipped kitchen with electric stove and dishwasher. Full set of lobster and clam steaming equipment. Plentiful china, glasses & silverware for family meals or entertaining. Gas grill. Three Smart TV’s with Roku service and 2 DVD players. Full size washer and dryer and laundry folding area.

DECK: Well furnished deck with water views & Adirondack chairs.

EXTRAS: Tree-lined path to private cove along with nature trails to the Nature Conservancy Preserve.

We loved this property—private, wooded, clean, and big enough to host six family members.While staying here, we read books on the deck and enjoyed the tree-line view and bay in the distance. Several of the sunsets were beautiful. And we did see several deer on two occasions.

Such a great location. The house is perfect for our family to stay on the island for the whole week. Quite side of the island, which is exactly what we were looking for. Gorgeous sunsets every night. Totally recommend.

The Treetops House was everything we hoped it would be and then some! The VRBO pics accurately depict the house, but the location and views were better than we could have dreamed. Upon first arriving at the property, we saw a doe and fawn off the back deck. And later in the week, a 9-pt buck greeted us as we drove up to the house after a day exploring the island. We heard seals barking in the distance the last night of our stay and were warmed and rejuvenated by the beautiful sunsets. The host and owner were so gracious and kind when a minor, unexpected plumbing issue arose, and my only regret is that I didn't get to meet them and thank them in person for sharing their beautiful property with me and my family. I highly recommend the Treetop House and will reminisce about our time there for years to come!

Wonderful stay!

Jennifer was very responsive with any questions we had, property was immaculate. Home is located in a very peaceful part of the island with fabulous views of sunset. Couldn’t have asked for more - would definitely stay here again!

Just right

Had everything we needed for a family of 5. Views were nice for breakfast and sunset. Saw deer wondering through the back yard a couple of times. Heard the seals in the evening. Private. Most everything we did around Acadia was under 30 minutes from the house. Only negative in July is that the owners requested that air-conditioning be turned off when not home. Upstairs was 78-81 when we got back in the evenings. Took a while for the upstairs to cool back down for bed. Overall would stay again.

The home was charming and cozy and the view was amazing. The pictures don’t do it justice. It is secluded and peaceful where the house is located and a great spot to come back after a busy day of hiking and exploring with our kids. The walk down to the private cove was really neat and the kids enjoyed exploring down by the water. We had a great time and the host was prompt with any concerns. Would stay again!

Private hideaway on Mt Desert Is

Large house on secluded, wooded property with stunning sunset views over Mt Desert Narrows and access to nature trails down to the water. Far enough from the tourist hordes, but a short 20-min drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia NP when it’s your turn to be the tourist.

Perfect week with great views.

This home was perfect for my family. It is spacious and clean; and the views are beautiful! While at this property, there are no other humans in sight!!! We did see a few deer and chipmunks! The back deck is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The location is within 20-25 minutes of all the hikes we did throughout the island. We all feel relaxed and refreshed after a week away at this lovely property.

Five stars!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Tree Tops. The house was comfortable, well stocked and clean. We enjoyed exploring the cove trail and the gorgeous sunsets from the back deck. Estimated travel time to key Acadia locations was 15-30 minutes from the house - totally manageable. Definitely take time to explore the Quiet Side of the island which is easily accessible from this location. Would absolutely return in the future!

One more national park

This place is awesome and the hosts are great! On a quest to visit national parks, we decided on Acadia. This property was conveniently located to all kinds of Arcadia adventures. The house was super clean and well stocked with everything needed for the week’s stay. Lots of space to move around the house, even with six of us in the house. The views are incredible and the walk to the cove was really nice. The large deck was a great place to relax, enjoy a meal, and just hang out. Would definitely recommend it!

Great sunsets

This was the perfect size house for our family of six. Lots of room and a big great deck. They aren’t kidding when they called this the quiet side of the island it’s 20 minutes to Bar Harbor or to SW. Harbor or to Acadia. Bar harbor is so congested and parking is such a problem. We did finally find a large parking lot across from the side street café. our favorite restaurants were Beals lobster the Terrace Grill and Side St cafe. Our stay was great. Thank you.

Friend Trip to Maine

The location is fabulous and the house is very cozy. A downstairs bedroom and bath if anyone has trouble with the stairs and three bedrooms upstairs-one is a wonderful master suite with it's own bath and a sitting room. The other two bedrooms share a bath. Gorgeous views from most of the rooms and a path in the back leading down to a private cove. Definitely plan on going back next year with my family!!

Treetops Bliss

Wonderful place for peace and serenity, beautiful sunsets and easy access to all island trails and locations. During our stay a hurricane blew through the area and communication with the owner was excellent. We have stayed at this rental property for many years because we think it is the best to be if you are looking for rest and relaxation.

Beautiful House and View

House and view were beautiful! Large enough for people to have their own space and great common areas to be together. Location next to Town Hill restaurants was perfect, and quick drive to Bar Harbor or Acadia. Would recommend and would stay again.
