I booked this hotel two months ago in order to visit Bath Christmas market and it was the only hotel available at the time at a fairly reasonable price. The market was subsequently cancelled and reading everybody’s reviews this morning while sitting in bed in the hotel I think we were probably quite fortunate with our room on the ground floor at the opposite end to the nightclub.
On the plus side the beds were warm clean and comfortable with lots of hot water available in the bathroom. The praise stops there.
Reading reviews we have decided not to go into breakfast and would never ever stay here again. The whole hotel needs thousands of pounds to update it and is more of a hostel than a hotel, It’s only deserves one star.
We were on a short trip to Bath and parade park was the ideal choice. Excellent choice if you want to just keep your bags, go to rest for a few nights.
Hotel is in dire need of refurbishment.
In an ideal location for city centre and rugby stadium with pay car park behind which we used although waited a long time for a space.
No ensuite available with bathrooms not very clean. Budget prices to match.

Very basic property. Bit down at heel. No frills. But good price for a very central location. Staff were nice but shared bathroom was not great and also tiny.
Room was totally unfit for sleeping due to old ill fitting windows not blocking any of the outside noise from nightclub next door and traffic. Staff did not have authority to deal with this issue.
Everything was great but they could use an upgrade on shampoo, body wash and hand wash, they were pretty bad.
Bed was super comfortable and room was quite and dark during the night.
I was in town for a show at the Forum, so I just wanted a cheap bed for the night - I later read some online negative reviews, but my stay was fine.
The building is in need of some general refurbishment, but my room was perfectly clean and comfortable and perfect for an overnight stay.
I suggest that the hotel offers better clarity of the breakfast option, as it differed depending on the website I was reading!
When I returned from my evening out I was daunted to see that a small nightclub next to the hotel had a lot of students around and was mindful of complaints I'd read about late-night noise, but the night was cool enough to have the window closed and I heard no noises from outside - indeed, the guest in the next room was more noisy moving around his/her room quite late, with creaky floorboards.
I was situated up three flights of stairs, so that may be a problem for some guests and I would advise checking with the hotel if such a climb is an issue.
At check-in I was told that WiFi passwords were available in the room, but that wasn't the case (I did hunt!), so, again, a recommendation for the hotel to check. I wasn't there to surf the internet and it wasn't an issue for me, but if it's advertised then it should be there!
Small criticisms, I was perfectly happy with my stay - it's a great location to see the sights of Bath, as well.

It isn't the fanciest hotel nor the cleanest in Bath, but the location is excellent and staffs are very nice & friendly. Very budget friendly, too.
Unless I win a lottery😆, I would stay here every time I visit Bath in the future.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful but working in difficult circumstances The hotel is very dated and could do with a complete refurbishment. The customers of Labyrinth Club and Disco next door are very, very noisy ‘til about 4am every night we were staying at the hotel. A big problem for the hotel.

Shabby but ok
It was a pleasant enough stay, good location which is what your paying for but very noisy at night. Room was extremely shabby, headboard was peeling onto pillows, holes in wall, paper peeled off, shower needs some attention
The bedroon conditions: terrible: holls in the walls, mold in generall, dirty sheets, small tolwes, no shampoo, bad qualitiy and not enough toillets papers. Ridiculous Continetal breakfest. Just toast and butter. Worst than a Hostel...the worst investment ever. The City is beautiful. Very good location at all.

Great little hotel; pity close to rowdy nightclub!
Staryed here Monday through Friday. Excellent location, very central. Room was nice enough and clean. View from room window great. Breakfast room staff friendly.
WiFi in room was very poor; line kept dropping. Biggest complaint was proximity to a club next door; was not able to sleep at all most nights, Monday night being the worst! Crowd outside super rowdy, and sound carried to the 2nd floor! Unless your someone out partying yourself would not recommend staying here; basically got no sleep for 3/4 nights i was there!
The internet speeds at the hotel were a joke. 0,1 Mbps. Watching Netflix was impossible, took over 1 hour to download one 20min episode
The inside haven't been changed since the 80's. And I was surprised at check in that my room had a shared bathroom in the hallway, it wasn't mentioned on the webpage at all. It's close to the centre and have a nice staff though.
The hotel is shabby!
The staff are poorly trained.
Management seemed non existent.
The facilities are basic.
Breakfast was ok though only a limited choice available.
Saturday night was spoilt by rowdy noise outside. There is a nightclub and an Italian restaurant in the basements below.
We won't be going back.
Awful room, Small stairs no view as looked out to sea gulls and roof, shared toilet ,shower or bath as didn't look into room to afraid as what I might find!!!, toilet un clean and no soap or drying facility for hands,
Would not recommend this for a relaxing over night stay in beautiful Bath.

Ok for a base
WiFi didn’t work which was a pain as I had work to do. Also it was very loud at night and the noise didn’t die off until about 3am. Bathroom was shared which wasn’t made explicitly clear when booking. Good location but price was too much for what you got

Disappointed overnight stay.
The overall appearance of the room was not up to standard at all. The carpet looked as though it hadn't had a proper clean in ages. The walls were dirty and desperately needed a coat of paint to freshen things up. I was on the 3rd floor and as I wasn't impressed. I paid the same price for a hotel in Liverpool street the night before and there was absolutely no comparison at all.
