Goodbye to an old favourite
Stayed on the last night before closure for refurbishment. Staff were extremely friendly and even went out of the hotel to get me gluten free cereal and bread for breakfast as they had run out. Can't wait to see what changes occur in the proposed two year closure.
The hotel had a lot of charm and history but was very tired. We found out after we booked that they were closing a week later for 18 month renovation. The staff that was left was friendly and accommodating, but it was clear the hotel was tired and ready to sleep. The location was excellent for walking, shipping, eating, and touring. Perfect for our two day trip.
Pratt's chosen as it was central to all our visifing needs. Ten minutes walk maximum to rugby stadium, new hot springs spa, old foman spa, fabulous eating venues and a sgunning range of shops
Hotel could do with some love and attention. The lift is scary!!! Appreciate it is old building so has quaint qualities We had concern over the plumbing as the cold water tap ran hot!! To the point that we scolded ourselves whilst taking showers!
very old room, needs complete refurbishing. Bed is awful so is the bathroom.
the location is very good.

Mid week break
Short break to see Bath. Hotel location, welcome and, particularly excellent staff wer excellent. It's old so floors creak. Could do with redecorating but excellent value.
Two night stay to visit the Christmas markets. Found the hotel quaint and comfortable. Well placed for easy access to the town centre. Staff very friendly and helpful.
This hotel is so lovely, very charming with its classic decor, fitting for an evening in Bath. Hotel staff were very friendly. Hotel location is very central and convenient.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location within easy walking distance of the main train station and centre of Bath. The building is old and in need of considerable maintenance. Floors creak everywhere. Sound proofing with adjacent room was really bad (so I got to hear every word of my neighbour's conversations). Bed was old and primitive. Bathroom facilities were clean but run down (although the shower was surprisingly quick to warm up and good to use).

Basic and tired hotel, great location
Location great, altho parking difficult. Dated and creaky ,so thankful it was just one night. Decor tired. Woken to fire alarm in morning with absolutely no organisation from staff or sight of designated fire wardens. Guests in lobby in nightware, and staff not knowing whats going on so breakfast continued to be served. Very unorganised.

A great time to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary and see my youngest son complete the new Bristol to Bath Marathon.
I love this hotel, and I hope they don't change it too much in the renovations. Yes, it is old, the floors are uneven, and there are odd little doors everywhere, but it is warm, the rooms are huge, and there is plenty of hot water. As charmless hotels spread around the world, it is nice that a few classic European hotels remain. Try out the public rooms, and meet a few fellow guests. The location is also excellent- a great base for exploring Bath.
Not long enough but thoroughly enjoyed. Top marks to Pratt's Hotel - very nice single room, friendly staff, great evening meal and breakfast and good location. Thanks you very much.
I have already recommended Pratts to friends.

Hermoso edificio georgiano.
Esta muy bien ubicado. Cerca de la terminal y de lo principals atractivos historicos. El amoblamiento es acorde al clima decimononico. Habitacion amplia y con Buena vista. Sugerencia mejorar el colchon.
We were very pleased to have a sitting room plus bedroom suite, which we did not expect. Location just a short walk from the Bath train station was great, and the Roman baths and other sites were nearby also. Very satisfied with our stay.

Excellent location but needs an uplift
This hotel has a super location. I had read the reviews and so was not expecting a lot. I even called the hotel before I left and they confirmed the sorry state of the hotel. In spite of that I went and therefore was not disappointed.
The good news is that the rooms are large and you have everything you need. The locations is excellent and cannot be better.
The downside is that everything seems to be falling apart. The lift is old and creaky, the room is a bit musty and needs a facelift which I understand it will be taking place at the end of this year. Worst of all is the pressure in the shower. It was a trickle. Something really needs to be done here after renovation.
Inspite of all this, it still was a good stay for 2 nights.

Lovely hotel, great location
Lovely hotel but could use some room upgrade which isn't a deal breaker for me. Location was amazing and close to everything. Overall, the stay was enjoyable.
The hotel was very old and dusty. A spider came out of the bed. We didn't have any towels or hotel soaps our first night. The room was just really old for the price of the Hotel. Basically you are paying for the location, which was perfect.
Hotel is in excellent location with a public car park over the road. Five minutes from Bath centre. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Room was large and clean and bed was very comfy. Breakfast was ideal with a good choice and served with a smile.
Great location and friendly helpful staff.
But the price is too expensive for the room.
Dated bedroon decor, the room was far too warm (I understand air con may not be allowed on old buildings) and the bathroom looked like a bad DIY job.
