The staff were fantastic, friendly and helpful. Our room was in the annexe and didn't feel particularly secure. It was extremely small and felt tired. There was no plug/cover in the bathroom sink and there was a long hair on the top of the cistern. Thankfully we were only staying for one night so it was just somewhere to lay our head.
On arrival at Reception after long journeys on an extremely hot day we were told that the Bar wasn't open, although advertised as open all day, and as our rooms were not available for 15-minutes there was no access to tea, coffee or cold drink. We were directed to a local pub instead! This was a very bad start.
We had booked a table for 6 at 7.30pm in the dining room but hadn't been informed that there was a large screen tv by our table and a raucous crowd surrounded us watching the football. Added to that the table service was very poor and after the main course the plates were not removed until about 9.30 and no dessert list was offered. On finally enquiring at the Bar and complaining that I felt we had been overlooked I was told by the waitress/Bar attendant that the kitchen was no longer taking orders but would enquire. Another waiter then appeared, cleared the table and finally brought dessert menus! The waitress spent most of the evening serving drinks at the Bar so had little time to attend our table. A case of under-staffing which spoilt our evening. We dined elsewhere the following evening!
Shocking .Limited and of the cheapest products possible. Fruit withering but still put out. Yoghurt sour . Being referred for many reasons to local food safety agency

The staff at the Old Mill are really friendly and helpful. The Italian restaurant is pleasant with a nice outlook next to the canal and the food is nice. The breakfast is basic continental but perfectly adequate. The location is good only a 10 minute walk to the canal that takes you all the way in to the centre of Bath and is a lovely walk.
Our room at the Old Mill was perfectly fit for purpose however is in need of some decoration. It could have been cleaner, we found cobwebs over the bedside lamps and dead knats (due to being close to the water) on the window sills. The bed dipped in the middle.

Ok, so this is one of the cheapest hotels in or around Bath. It’s clean and the breakfast is fine for the price. I have seen some reviewers complain about the variety but seriously what do you expect at this price. Our room was ok but very very warm. Location is great and with a bit of investment could be upgraded a few levels but then again so would the price. Uber was approximately £10 to Bath City Centre. Parking is £10 but again far cheaper than in Bath city. You get what you pay for and it is fine for a budget stay.

The main issue which reduces the lower recommendation rating is the £10 car park charge, which I've never experienced at any overnight hotel stay in my life. Also the internet signal in the annexe where our room was located was poor, meaning that I couldn't communicate effectively with my workplace. This will cost me time in future as I need to compensate and make-up for my schedule.
Rooms were clean and had been updated but general hotel felt in need of investment. Staff were pleasant . Only made aware of car park charge day before stay

Do not stay if temperatures are above mid 20s rooms get so hot that it’s a health hazard fans don’t help I have stayed here at normal times and it’s absolutely fine just not suitable for hot days
There was no A/C in the room so it was too warm at night. The breakfast was meager. There was no refrigerator or microwave and the electric kettle leaked and caused an electrical problem. Fire alarm was going off one night for no particular reason and no one came to tell us what to do. On the plus side, the cleaning staff were very nice and did a good job of keeping the rooms clean. The value for the money was there if you want a low cost, clean room and a snack for breakfast. Location was ok. There was a bus stop a short distance away and nice two-mile walking trail into the city center.
This is a charming hotel with a lovely view of the river, the weir and green fields and hills. The working water wheel is especially appealing. Very peaceful and quiet, but only minutes from Bath City Centre, either walking or via convenient bus stops.
The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, pleasant place to stay.

The staff were excellent unfortunately the facilities were not.
We had a bad nights sleep - the bed was uncomfortable and there didn’t appear to be any kind of sound proofing in the rooms as it felt like we could hear every coming and going in the hotel, including the guests talking in the next room.
The bathroom was also not very clean, there was black mould on the door runner in the shower and even the toilet roll holder was rusty.
The breakfast was disappointing and poor quality.

Beautiful location and the views of the river were stunning. Room was good and spacious with a great few of the river which really made up for everything else. Staff seemed to be a little unhelpful when it came to breakfast as we had no clue where to go, if we were to help ourselves or not.. we just got on with it in the end.. and there was limited options really. Value for money .. I would say it’s alittle over priced for what you get. You pay £30 deposit on top of what you paid for the room due to taxes and fees? Then pay on top for parking. Just seems little off. Bath was beautiful I must say

Bathroom need some shelves. Over all the place could do with some touch ups and cleaning. Wifi was out but that a city issue. Want told prior to asking. Small fridge and microwave in room would be nice. Did have cookies at coffee station. $10 parking that was on contract but wasn't clearly marked. Nice place and in lovely spot.
Quirky old building, so, some steep staircases. Unfortunately we arrived whilst they were doing some renovations, so, not everything was available. But the continental breakfast was good the next morning. The rooms were ok, we were lucky to get a river view (for free, if booked in advance that costs extra) quite a small twin room, en suite bathroom. Sadly no air con, we did have a small fan and left the patio doors open overnight. The bathroom was ok, the duty manager said they are all being refurbished over winter. Shower was average, not much pressure and took a couple of minutes ti figure out. They only had one small towel rail, so, I suggested to the manager about perhaps a couple of hooks on the back of the bathroom door. Then he says they are replacing over winter, so they won't add hooks yet.
In the room there were tea and coffee making facilities, a small fridge, a desk, a small wardrobe with a safe inside and even an iron and ironing board. Sockets by the desk had USB sockets too. Overall nice. I think once the refurbishment is completed it will be cracking. There's also a bar with outdoor seating, as well as outdoor seating by the river. The hotel is next to a toll bridge which does cause queuing. £1.20 to cross over in a car.
Parking is limited, first come first served. £10 for the whole stay, which is good value. I'd say there are perhaps15 spaces. You pay when you check out. The staff were nice. Ellie the duty manager was particularly lovely.
Lovely staff , great room, got a little upgrade that i wasnt expecting, had a river view was beautiful looking out over the river. Good food and great views all around 👌

Parking is available on-site but was tight spaces. £10 per night for parking.
The room was very cosy (small). The bed was a small double, I actually had to sleep on the floor half way through the night as we were very hot and I needed to cool down.
They did supply a fan for the room.
There were 2 other bedrooms that were very close, so hearing others having conversations and banging doors.
I feel £14 for continental breakfast was a bit steep.
We had an evening meal which was ok.
Lovely garden and view over the river.
