Mardi Gras Central, 1 Block to River Center, Minutes to LSU
"We want to be your "go to" place in Baton Rouge offering weekly & monthly discounts".
Since opening our first unit people rave about the premium location, stylish Louisiana themed spaces, wonderful amenities, great communication and 24 hour self check in. The high demand caused us to quickly convert our cozy 16 unit complex into short term rentals.. We're walking distance to downtown attractions, bars, restaurants, and minutes to LSU and Tiger Stadium.
So join us and "Laissez le bon temps rouler."
In Louisiana we call it "Lagniappe", a little something extra.. Sometimes that "little something extra" is what sets you apart and we tried to keep that in mind when setting up each unit. We've included things for you to enjoy that we would want as a guest.
Each of our units are uniquely decorated with touches of Louisiana. There are many local artist original works and numbered prints on some of the walls. When possible we re-purpose and reuse secondary market furnishings and other interesting items we find. This is what gives each unit a character of it's own. This listing is a new remodel with bamboo floors through out, beaded board ceiling in the kitchen and bathroom, crown moldings and exposed brick walls. Wonderful, traditional Louisiana style.
The beds are comfortable with new linens and extra pillows, including "Bellagio Home" luxury pillows for a peaceful night's sleep.
The kitchen is complete with built in microwave, smooth top stove, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher and all the necessary utensils for those who like to cook. There's a coffee maker for you to brew a fresh pot of Louisiana's very own Community Coffee that we provide for you. It's a true local dark roast that will wake you up. Also, in the freezer are glasses of mugs for you to enjoy your favorite beverage.
Included in the bathroom is Hotel/Spa dual shower head and hand held with multiple jet options. The towels are nice and thick. Additionally, we include Matrix, exclusive for Wyndham, soap, shampoo, and conditioner for your use if you need them.
Finally, If you're driving an automobile you'll want to know we provide FREE, ONSIGHT, RESERVED parking, which downtown can be an invaluable luxury. Now that's some "Lagniappe"!

This was a cute condo. It was the perfect size for two couples. It is located downtown a stone throw from the civic center. The place was very nice. The neighborhood was so so but your downtown in a city so to be expected. There was free parking and places to go to and eat at were walkable. I would definitely stay there again.
This is was better than we could have planned for our daughter gymnastics competition. Location was perfect and the size of the VRBO was exactly what we needed. Clean and efficient. We will definitely look at booking there again in the future.
We had a great stay. The property was exactly as described and the host was very responsive to questions. Great water pressure and hot water for 3 people which was a nice change compared to other places. Easy walk to the river center and local restaurants, and a gas station half a block away for those who are renting cars to fill up before heading back to the airport. We will likely stay here again if we’re ever back in Baton Rouge.
Location was perfect, we were in town for a volleyball tournament and were able to walk. Our stay was good, we werent there much at all. I would stay again for a short trip, probably not more than a couple of days though. I think the place definitely could use a good deep clean.
This stay was exactly what we needed! We were moving our youngest in at LSU, and this was a great home base for us to be at for the long weekend. Paul was super responsive, and we had zero issues. The beds and pillows were GREAT! So dang comfy! We all watched movies at night on the couch, and just enjoyed ourselves. Very close proximity to so many amazing restaurants and bars, and the casino!! Would definitely stay again, and plan to!

Liked: Communication, location, listing accuracy
Bowling tourney
Close to where we had to bowl. Had to dust off the ceiling fan before using. All in all, it was a pleasant stay.
This was a great location as described in the listing. Easy walk to the Raising Canes Convention Center. Host, Paul, was great and easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend this property. Older building, but doing some really nice updates to the units. You will be surprised.
I cannot thank you enough for sharing your beautiful condo with my best friend and I this last week! Everything we needed and then some was there to use. So nicely updated and a very responsive host! Thank you Jenn for more great memories (and sunsets) of TI!!
This place is the perfect spot for our group during the Orion weekend. Very close to the ball venue and parade route. It isn’t fancy, but it’s clean and the price is right!
This place was perfect and located exactly where we needed next to the River Center and within walking distance of several attractions and restraunts. Paul did a great job of communicating to us and recommended one of the best places we ate. If you go there eat at The Chimes you won't regret it. Only thing I would recommend is an extra set of key in case the group doesn't stay together the whole time. Thanks for sharing your place with us Paul. If we come back anytime soon we will definitely stay there again.Virgil Ballard
Positive - manager was very accessible. Property was easy to find and get in to. Met our needs.
Negative - overwhelming smell of mildew that I couldn’t pinpoint initially but clearly there’s an issue. Smell never dissipated but luckily we weren’t there much.
Overall, the listing is as described. The property does need some TLC/updates, but it was fine for my husband, my daughter, and myself for a few nights. The beds are full size and when you're used to sleeping on a Cal King, it's comparatively small. Washing machine doesn't spin well enough so clothes come out soaking, and then we had to run 3 dryer cycles to get them dry.Communication with owner was fine and he is responsive to texts. While we were there the internet went out and I texted him asking when it would be back on. He stated it was a service provider outage so he didn't have an ETA, but it was back on later that evening.
Host doesn’t respond to you when a problem arose. Arrived at property to stay at 4:30 pm and unit wasn’t cleaned tried calling host with number he left to call him for faster response, and no answer at all. Waited at unit for 2 1/2 hours for a response and nothing. Called VRBO and they couldn’t get host to respond as well and made us wait another hour for host to respond. Absolutely worst experience dealing with this host who has still not responded to emails, text, & phone calls as to what happened or how to resolve my refund. We had to leave and find a place to stay as we had driven all night and were there for Nationals Bowling Tournament. Bowlers don’t stay here!!! Still waiting for host to respond to refund request as VRBO said to do. Would not recommend that you stay here.
I rented a unit and wasn’t even given the one I rented - renter changed the apartment number and said I was “upgraded” to a different unit at the last minute.I walked into a mildew smell that never dissipated. Comforter in one bedroom was covered in…something? Cockroaches behind bed on arrival (dead). Overall cleanliness was lacking.WiFi goes in and out, it’s not reliable. I immediately messaged the owner once on the vrbo app, no response for days. My main concern was that one day I left for work and someone had BEEN IN THE APARTMENT without asking my permission or letting me know. Super concerning to me as a solo traveler. I texted the owner per his instructions about someone being in the apartment with no response for almost 24 hours regarding a concern for my safety.I had to barricade the door at night to make sure no one came in while I was sleeping. Without a response as to who had been in my rented apartment, I left mid-stay out of concern for my safety. Owner texted me back after I had already left the premises to confirm that someone had in-fact been in the apartment while I was away. I would never stay here again.I had a lengthy fight with the owner who continued to ignore me for weeks regarding a refund for the remainder of the days that I did not stay on the premises. I would never let my solo friends, sister, or mother stay at this property alone.
