"Really lovely locally owned and run hotel. Our kingsize upgraded room was stunning, and massive. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The homemade shortbread in the room was incredible, and they even refilled it when we scoffed it all! Breakfast was tasty, and the hot food was made to order. The on-site gym “The Unit” was really great and fully included in the room rate, which felt like a treat! They are clearly modernising the hotel to an high standard, and as far as we saw only the room corridors and stairs were still to be upgraded. The parking was free and plentiful, and it’s a great base for exploring the surrounding area. All the staff were exceptionally lovely & friendly (with the one exception of the older gent who checked us in who treated us like an inconvenience, and shouldn’t really be working in hospitality) "

"Welcoming for dogs - they provided dog towel and dog blanket as well as dog bowls and rubber mat. Great location and also right beside the bus stop too if you want to catch the bus."

"I would say it was lovely place to stay and had everything you would need. It was a nice quiet area for a break away and is a great size to accommodation large families or groups of people. We were there close to Christmas and liked the decorations it had."

"Lovely cottage with plenty of luxurious touches. Welcomed with chocolates qnd fresh flowers on windowsill. Beds were very comfortable. Everything supplied in kitchen. Even our dog was catered for with dog bowls. Only 5 minutes walk from the main street in Banchory which was very handy as we don't drive."

"Loved the Toll Bridge Lodge. Very cosy and comfortable. Host, Sadie, was brilliant.Good base for local attractions and for getting further afield too. Definitely recommend it"

"We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate with our family! From the start, Bryden and Rebecca were incredibly kind and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed for a memorable stay. The home itself is spacious, beautifully kept, and had plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy time together.The grounds were absolutely perfect for our whole family, there was so much space for the kids to run, play, and explore. They especially loved playing football and paddling in the river which kept them entertained while the adults enjoyed the beautiful setting. It felt like the ideal mix of comfort and fun for all ages.We would come back in a heartbeat and would definitely recommend to others!"
