"Had a very relaxing weekend! You can tell Carol and Dan really care for this place and aren't in it for the money. The cottage was surprisingly modern, very clean and well stocked with kitchen stuff, linens, and pet stuff. They also provide many movies, books, games, and puzzles. Other reviews are correct that this place has everything you could need, plus more. We really enjoyed the popcorn maker!Our dogs loved exploring the woods around the property and wading in the pond. We even took them out in the rowboat. We enjoyed the screen/sun porch. The hammock chair is very comfy! Spent many hours just sitting there enjoying the view. Expected to see more wildlife, but maybe it's still early in the year and a bit too cool.Carol was very easy to communicate with and answered some questions before we even asked. You can tell they are experiened hosts. We will definitely be repeat visitors!"

"Great location. Convenient for snowmobiling. The house had plenty of room, clean and kitchen was fully stocked with cooking supplies. Loved the wood fireplace upstairs and gas fireplace downstairs. The view was beautiful overlooking the lake. Offered a laundry room too. Only thing I wish they had was a tv in the upstairs living room. "

"Great spot for a relaxing weekend! The room was clean, cozy, and what looked like recent nice updates done. The adjustable beds were a very pleasant surprise which our bodies appreciated. Prior to and during the stay there were multiple texts sent to assure we had what we needed. Thank you, we will be back!"

"I received a welcome email for the wrong weekend, followed up with an apology but nothing on our actually check in day. Never received the code for the front door, called both phone numbers listed, no one answered. Discovered a side door wide open. Finally was responded to in the app with multiple code options saying one of them should work. All outdoor lighting was shut off, no instructions on how to turn it on, my parents missed the house in the dark, then we had to unload their car in the dark, before finally figuring it out. We were told to bring our own linens (which we did) but did not expect there to be no bedding whatsoever. We were also told to bring our own towels, which we assumed to mean bath towels, however there wasn’t a kitchen towel or hand towel in the entire house. Upon arrival there was about a quarter of a roll of toilet paper in the bathroom, when I asked the owner about more, he stated “it is locked up and we have our cleaning service put out one roll and you’re expected to provide your own after that” which was NOT communicated ahead of time, nor was it really the case since the roll that was out was nearly gone before we even arrived.Day two, a beeping sound in the fireplace. Owner confirmed it was a known issue with the batteries for the remote, walked me through how to remove them to stop the beeping and then said “oh you probably won’t be using it anyway”. No apology. The house was clean, location was good, but hospitality was extremely lacking. "
