The staff were very friendly and helpful. Dinner was excellent, with lovely service and great food. Comfy beds and a nice dark room. Maintenance could be better, such as in the bathroom (toilet constantly filling & shower temperature was a job to adjust).

Good stay, marred by the executive room we had #36 being over the dining room. Between 2.30 and after 3.30AM the night staff were rearranging the tables for breafast by dragging them around whilst singing along to music... not particulary impressed. Perhaps they could lift the tables and cut out the sing-song at that time of the night.. seems pretty obvious to me!

it’s not my first time here, we come annually for a forces mental health charity called talking2minds. Never have an issue with the room to staff always friendly and the food I’ve always found to be excellent. You certainly can’t fault the buffet style breakfast.

Lovely staff. Food good. Bedroom so needed updating as was faded and dated but they had done the bathroom. Musty smells abound sadly. Again staff so lovely and helpful. Thank you.

A stunning hotel with a lot of charm and character. Quiet and peaceful. Located about out the way but staff were wonderful and friendly. Nothing was too much if you asked them for anything. A wonderful place to stop. Every meal was lovely and I would recommend the food from the stone and ivy to anyone.

Weston Hall Hotel is such a beautiful place today stay, bed was super comfortable and the food was delicious, the best steak we have ever had. The staff were all lovely, especially Graham, he was so welcoming and funny. We really recommend this place, we will be back!

Staff very friendly and helpful. The main hotel was lovely but the bedroom we had is due a makeover, wallpaper was coming loose in a number of places. The pillows were also flat and hard, we got them changed but still not great.

Weston Hall

The exterior of the hotel was impressive but I felt the interior was tired and dated. The menus for both the bar and restaurant were the same. My stay was for 2 nights and I ate our on one of them. The staff were very good especially the lady at breakfast who was very chatty and welcoming. I stayed here due to the photos and proximity to were I had to go and for such a short stay it was fine but I would not entertain staying for longer.

Fancy on the outside, outdated on the inside

Looks fancy from the outside, but sadly it is outdated and dilapidated on the inside. The room itself had what I needed for an overnight stay. Dinner from the bar was absolutely terrible, and breakfast was not appealing either. The gardens were nice though, sitting outside was the best part of the trip.

The pluses. The staff were friendly, plenty of parking the room was clean as was the bathroom. The food quality was excellent. The room was generally quite. Although not a dog owner you couldn't tell the room had previously had dogs in it, due to no sign of doig hair, except for one thing (see the negatives). Easy to get to. The minuses. We weren't told or asked when we booked in if we were there for the Abba night or not. Our room was next to the event hall and so with the disco not ending before midnight we couldn't have settled down before then. (luckily we'd been to see a show in Leicester that evening and so didn't get back until around 11:30pm). I know there were rooms on the opposite side of the hall and it would have been good if we'd been allocated one of those. There was an odour of dog in the room, I didn't notice, my partner did. The reason for giving the hotel a poor rating is that when I got home and was looking at possibly booking the hotel again, as despite the issues we enjoyed tthe stay, I discovered that we had not been allocated the room I had booked in July last year. My booking, through Expedia, clearly states "Standard Room, 1 Double Bed, Non Smoking". I have checked everything and it all states that. We were allocated "Standard Room, 1 Double Bed, Non Smoking (Small)", which is smaller that a Standard room and should have been cheaper. In essence we were downgraded without any reason given. Perhaps the hotel was over subscribed? Not good My big

More efficiency required by booking staff

Booked for a two night stay, visiting family, have stayed at this Hotel a few times previously and have been very satisfied however on this occasion, we were given a room Number 25 above a Marquee were a Wedding was being held, the music was very loud and went on until 11.00 pm then guests still remained in the Marquee talking until past midnight, followed by staff clearing and clean the Marquee next morning. We did complain and the next day we were allocated a room change to a quieter part of the Hotel as there would be another Wedding on that day. The question is why did the Hotel not allocate these rooms above the Marquee to the Wedding Guests, asking the question when guests either booked or on arrival and not give out rooms to other guests not with the Wedding Party, this is surely not rocket science and a little trouble taken with the allocation of rooms would have saved complaints later. Apart from this problem, both rooms we stayed in were clean and spacious, the staff were very friendly and helpful especially in the changing of rooms, breakfasts were very good and staff in dining room were attentive considering that there were a lot of guests on both days. We would stop at this Hotel again but would have to ask the question as to what room we would be given if a Wedding was on, but this question should not be necessary if booking and allocation of rooms were carried out correctly and with a little consideration for guests not in the Wedding Party.
