"The room was decent and fairly clean. There was some mildew in the shower, but it was minor. The bed was comfortable and the shower was nice. It's a Microtel so the room is small, but that's nothing to complain about, you know what you're getting going in. The staff let us check in an hour early and that was nice. The breakfast is very slim pickings. There is nobody tending to it, so as the morning goes on the pickings get slimmer and the counters get dirtier. On the second morning I got a cup of coffee and it was very watered down. They're not a restaurant, though, so take that for what it's worth. The one thing that really bothered me about the room was the minifridge. It made a constant gurgling sound that drove me crazy. I finally had to pull it away from the wall and unplug it. My wife didn't notice it until I pointed it out to her, so you might say it was only an issue to me because my aversion to weird noises. The AC kept the room a nice temperature and I didn't think it was overly loud. We never had a problem with parking. There is a Walmart across the street and we found that convenient. Overall it was a decent stay and I would stay there again."

"I had an opportunity to attend a weeklong yoga training in a burg nearby and wanted quiet accommodations within an easy Uber/Lyft drive with a restaurant for an evening meal after a long day. The Woodcliff fit the bill all around! The room was not fancy, yet it was large, clean and most importantly quiet. The restaurant had a nice menu of well-prepared meals, and the staff was very attentive. The 6 days stay exceeded my expectations! There is a sweet coffee shop for a light breakfast that helped me ease into each day - which was bonus added!"

"Quick, kind check in experience. Safe area. Clean rooms and pristine grounds. Pet friendly with lots of space to walk the dogs on grass. It was full up and still very quiet. Beds were quite comfy too. No complaints at all."

"This house exceeded our expectations. The location on Lake Ontario is magnificent. We hardly wanted to leave because the lake view was magical and it was so peaceful and surprisingly quiet. Our family enjoyed cooking in the well-equipped kitchen. sitting outside and sleeping with the windows open to enjoy the sound of the waves. We caught several amazing sunsets on the lake. We came to Sterling to visit friends and family, but we never had to go far as they enjoyed visiting us at the "Lake House". We didn't need all the bedrooms, but we would love to return next year with our kids and grandkids. There's plenty of room for everyone! One of our favorite VRBO rentals, ever!"
