Good stay in a great location

We had a great time at this hotel - fantastic location and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, with very good English. Room was on the small side but worth it for the great price.

The staff was always friendly and helpful, supported with reservation for public transport and activities of interest. Even when is near to the train station it was not noisy and we were able to sleep. Great value for money.

Good place but the rooms were very tiny for the price. I guess you pay mostly for the location but it is not so centrally located. Overall not bad but not great either. The rooms were clean so that is a plus.

This property is good for travellers but if you don’t like stairs maybe don’t choose. The rooms are fine but the bathroom was like the one you get in a cabin in a caravan park. Very small rooms. The staff were nice and friendly though and helped us with travel information.

Wonderful helpful staff. They would write everything in Chinese for me before I went out for easier navigating. Good location, restaurant next door never made me sick and the free coffee in the lobby was great. They were always able to call me a can. Loved the staff!!

It was an interesting property given its history. The clientele was mainly western and the on premise restaurant was good. That section of Beijing was kind of rundown, mainly consisting of Hutongs but it was safe and kind of funky. Bit of a walk to the metro but relatively easy to get around. The hotel staff was helpful in arranging travel and selling tickets to tourist attractions like the Great Wall and Forbidden City.

The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The “courtyard” of the hotel was very peaceful and I felt relaxed. When I arrived in China, my Alipay didn’t work right, but the hotel staff helped me to fix the issues with payment. When I went to visit the Great Wall (Mutianyu), the staff were very helpful in getting me a taxi to there and back to the hotel. If I’m ever back in Beijing, I would 100% be staying here again.

Clean, comfy and good price

Very clean hotel, the staff was mostly friendly (but they did not always speak english, which was OK for me anyway). The location is close to some important historical landmarks but not too close to nightlife. Overall, very good for the money.

Off the beaten trail.

We really enjoyed our sray at this hotel. It was a cultural experience we didnt expect. The food was very good and the staff was friendly. The 3 children whose mom works there really made for a pleasant morning coversation. They are the best!

Overall a good stay. 2 nights. Out all day so only slept there. Slept well, comfy bed. Hot water. Close to Beijing railway station, about 8 minute walk

The staff were very good. My major problem was the WiFi. It is an open system, so I think too many people are using it. It is slow and unreliable. My room was fine. Construction was going on outside, but it didn’t bother me. The hotel is in a Hutong, and it was Edgar Snow’s residence, so that’s interesting. As a 老外 I’m dependent upon good WiFi to get things done.

Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und trotz der Nähe zu den Bahngleisen ruhig. Die Angestellten haben gutes Englisch gesprochen und waren sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Die Lage des Hotels ist verkehrstechnisch sehr gut gelegen. Der Bahnhof Beijing Railway Station ist fußläufig erreichbar. Einzig, das Hotel zu finden, ist etwas schwierig, da es in einer Seitengasse liegt. Interessant ist zudem die Ausstellung über den Briten Edgar Snow, der früher an dieser Stelle gelebt hat. Alles in allem ein tolles Preis/Leistungsverhältnis und sehr empfehlenswert.

Das Hotel war supersauber und gepflegt. Besonders gefallen hat uns das aufmerksame Personal und der schöne INnenhof in dem man abends gemütlich den Tag ausklingen lassen kann. Die Unterkunft liegt sehr zentral in der Nähe einer U-Bahn-Station und in einem schönen, nicht touristischen Hutong, was wir sehr geschätzt haben. Uns hat alles sehr gut gefallen und wenn wir das nächste Mal in Beijing sind, werden wir uns auf jeden Fall überlegen wieder dort ein Zimmer zu buchen.

Billigt och bra

Ett bra och billigt hotell att bo på. Många turister som stannar där. De har även en vit katt som bor utanför hotellet och är höjdpunkten där.
