Very clean hotel with very helpful staff, it’s the 2nd time we have stayed in this hotel.
We can fully recommend this hotel if you are looking for a nice hotel close to Belfast city centre….
Bar meals were very good, with ample choice from snacks through to main meals. The buffet breakfast offered a varied choice and cooked items were refreshed regularly. All hotel staff we met and engaged with were friendly and helpful.
My wife and I booked two nights at the Malone Hotel and liked it so much we stayed for an extra night. Friendly staff comfortable room good food
Situated in a quiet leafy part of Belfast but close enough to the city and all its amenities. I highly recommend the Malone Hotel.
The room was big and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
Clean, friendly staff, nice food in bar. Breakfast not great, if you want cooked.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The staff was nice. Apartment was a little bit outdated but otherwise OK. It was clean and bed was nice. Surroundings were peaceful and nice. Would stay again if I would be in Belfast.
We got a very warm welcome on arrival. The hotel was clean and pleasant. A very nice bar area with comfortable seating area. The room was spacious and well equipped. Nice furnishings. We were 3 adults in a room it would have been nice to have a proper bed instead of a single pullout which was quite uncomfortable for 2 nights. The area was nice and easy access to taxi’s to get about. It was very noisy early Sunday morning due to some young adults being very rowdy on the veranda they seemed to have been drinking there all night. All in all though a pleasant stay. Not sure I would return to this hotel though maybe get something closer to the city centre for better location. We didn’t use the restaurant so can’t comment.
My husband and I stayed her in July 2026. We were, initially, a little disappointed with the location of the hotel as it seemed a bit far away from the attractions we wanted to see. This turned out not to be a problem.as Belfast itself was quite easy to navigate.
On check-in, we were infor.ed that our room was in the 'newly refurbished' annexe opposite. The hotel itself was lovely. Nicely decorated and furnished. We went over to our room and were shocked that we had an apartment, not just a room. It had been beautifully designed, with huge rooms and modern furniture. The things that let it down, however, was the quality of the refurbishment. The ceilings were cracked, the fridge door didn't fit and the seal around the shower was either mouldy or dirty.
Not the fault of the hotel staff but the guests in another room came in late banging doors and talking really loudly. I did report this the following morning but don't think anything would have been done.
On the plus side, though, the food was excellent. A great selection of continental and cooked buffet food, with alternatives available to order at extra cost. We also ate there on the first night. The sea bass was absolutely delicious and is highly recommended.
I think, if I were to visit again, I would stay at the Malone but would ask for a room in the hotel.
