Perfect property with close proximity to airport

Quaint inn in the middle of a very nice residential neighborhood. Easy walking distance to grocery store, restaurants and a park with a colorful Belize sign. Manager was friendly and super helpful. We stayed one night to be close to the airport for a morning flight. Shuttle service provided by Louis was most appreciated. Would definitely stay again.

This property is a neighborhood you won't expect to find, extremely quiet, high end, safe and comfortable to go for your evening's walks, Luis and Julia make my stay a homely enviroment, definitely will go back, everything was catered to for me, even my tourist attraction spots and no crowd, tour guides is one on one, next visit will be much longer, truly enjoyed

The staff was exceptionally hospitable and friendly. The hotel is within walking distance of several nice restaurants and bars, and there is a convenient store nearby. I was very happy with the hotel staff, and the price was very reasonable.

Nothing but great things to say about this place and the hosts/staff. Despite some of my own challenges getting to Belize, Red Hut was very responsive in my queries and concerns. Airport pickup was easy, food was great and reasonably priced, and the local advice was good. Luis is happy to answer any and all questions and will work to make your stay easy and comfortable.

Nice little hotel

Though the rooms are small, it was just what we needed for our stay. Staff was extremely friendly, foos was great and everyone was so helpful in helping us get around. Highly recommend the Red Hut. We would stay there again for sure.

Lewis was friendly and helpful with a check in problem and information about local amenities and transport. Property was a bit far from the center but reachable by local bus. Quiet most of the night mixed in with episodes of dogs barking and chickens crowing.

Wonderful find

My fiancé and I stayed here for a quick over night stay while waiting for our friends to land the next day. They have an option for them to pick you up from the airport for a flat fee that is cheaper than the taxis. They’re about a 15/20 minute ride from the airport. Julia picked us up and was very friendly and polite. Gave us a bunch of recommendations while also informing us everything that they offered in house. Breakfast, dinner, coffees. Breakfast and dinner are an extra charge but, they’re very reasonably priced. They have an in house chef Luis and he’s fantastic. Super friendly and very talkative. We also booked a little hour long car tour that Luis took us on. Showed us a lot of Belize city and was very educational. Overall our stay was extremely pleasant and would 100% recommend them for a 1 night stay or a multiple day stay. Definitely when we return we will be staying with them both again.

The Red Hut Inn - A Great Place to Start a Trip

The Red Hut Inn is an older hotel/hostel with a couple of single rooms and 2 8-bed dorm rooms. The staff keeps the rooms and common areas clean. The manager provides taxi service and coordinates day trips for guests (the Maya ruins and the cave tubing are 2 great trips….day boat trips to Caye Caulker for fishing and snorkeling are also available). A wonderful breakfast is available each morning, at a good price. And a local WalMart type store is an easy 5-minute walk. In addition to the wonderful staff, the Red Hut Inn provides a great opportunity to meet experienced travelers from all over the world who provide wonderful travel tips on the great travel destinations throughout Central and South America.
