Loved that there were no carpets in the room. The breakfast was sensational. The hallways were dark and a bit dreary. I would suggest getting rid of all the carpeting and repainting the walls.

Staff at the front desk were very nice. Breakfast was amazing and staff at the cafeteria were very efficient. Easy walk to the center. Easy to find. Shops and restaurants nearby. Lobby was beautiful. Free coffee and tea at the ground floor of the building where my room was.

Room was very noisy in older section across the street from reception People yelling and very loud until 430 am No phone in room to call reception No noticeable security cobblestone street with very noisy traffic loud music and motorcycle roaring by . Nice size room with large bathroom

This was the largest room we stayed in during our Scandinavian trip. Very generous size and a huge bathroom with a bathtub. Nice breakfast as well. It would have been nice if it were just a few minutes closer to town, but still walkable.

Room temperature is not adjustable but they provided a portable fan in the room. We stayed at 4 different Scandic’s during our trip and this one missed the mark compared to the other 3.

Good enough

Nice airy room. Comfortable bed. A bit noisy because of the traffic outside in the morning. A lot of buses. Most of the time the coffee machine in the annex out of order because of lack of water or coffee.

Fabulous hotel with friendly staff and comfortable rooms. We were looked after by Helena, who was very friendly and helpful, a real credit to the hotel. We would recommend staying here if you are on a Hurtigruten trip as it is very close to the terminal, walking distance with a case, and the rooms are reasonably priced.

Very good hotel in an excellent location. BUT: No air-conditioning ruined our vacation. Room was hot as an oven. I understand the weather was unexpected; but that is why I pay good money. But, hotel staff could not do anything; Offered a very small 12inch fan. Suffered. COuld not open windows.

The lobby and restaurant area were nice. The hallway and room smelled like a medical unit of a hospital - the best way I can describe this to people that don’t know is basically like a public bathroom that tried to be cleaned with cheap or watered down cleaning products. There was hair in the bathroom and on the towels that were not ours; there was pubic hair in the bed that was not ours. Overall I just felt dirty in this hotel but luckily my stay was only for one night. The area is walkable to the rest of the city. There is construction outside that started at 730am.

Not a Four star property. Most probably 1-2 star category. Not worth the money. Too old and outdated building. Poor amenities. Rooms are not cleaned automatically. Strange enough you have to register prior day evening before 11pm if you want your room to be cleaned next day. Staffs are friendly.

Hotel was great. Staff were fantastic, rooms clean and modern, breakfast offering was good. Rooms could have done with more storage space, don’t like living out of a suitcase. Noted the eco-credentials, but would have liked a tea making option in the room, instead of having to get the complementary hot water downstairs. We did have one problem with noise.
