The large rooms are spotless, the bed comfortable, and the AC works! The room was completed refreshed each day of our 3 night stay and the supplies fully restocked. The reception staff (Charles and his team) and warm, friendly, and as accommodating as possible in every way (free water whenever requested, maps, directions, silverware to use at the lobby tables, money changing, information and directions for the laundry mat, etc.). If you are looking to explore old town Bern and other areas of Switzerland, the location could not be more perfect. It is a short walk from the rail station and right at the edge of old town Bern. We explored all over old town and used the trains to visit Lucerne, Interlaken, and other locations. It was absolutely perfect! This was the BEST hotel stay we have had on our 4 week journey through Europe.
