"Although the age of the building was showing, the friendliness of the staff, the culture of the property, the amenities, and restaurant was above expectations for the cost paid. I grew to appreciate this property and would definitely come back to stay here again."

"The rooms and the hallways have all new flooring and new clothing cupboards. Bed and bedding were comfortable, with a hair dryer available upon request. The kitchen are is fantastic and fully equipped with two stoves, 5 fridges, microwave toaster etc. The front staff were friendly and responsive. I arrived quite early to drop my luggage however they were able to get me into my room, which was fantastic. I would stay here again without question. Location was excellent as well. My only recommendation would be for a larger sign to be placed on the building. Very small sign near the door and it directs you to the back. It directs for you to call them, however I had my primary number turned off to avoid high fees, however I emailed them and she was at the door within 5 minutes! Well worth the stay and I would go back."

"Lovely hotel but didn't quite feel like a 4 star. The little extras you'd expect just weren't there. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable but the was only a kettle for instant tea/ coffee! Breakfast was lovely. Staff on reception were very helpful but the lady in the bar restauraunt was rather rude. The swimming pool was great. Small jacuzzi and the sauna wasn't hot enough."

"The Malt Store surpassed our expectations, the apartment was huge, absolutely spotless and extremely comfortable. Birr is a nice little town and we were very close to all amenities. The staff were very prompt and friendly in answering any correspondence regarding our stay. I would thoroughly recommend The Malt Store as accommodation if visiting this part of Ireland. First class."

"I would highly recommend a stay at this property. It was very clean, beautifully decorated and centrally located. The beds were comfortable and the property had everything we needed. The check-in process was seamless. 5 star property! "
