We loved our stay at the Coastal Inn! It is an older facility but kept up well, and just so quaint! We loved the location, walkable to so much in town. We stayed in the back with a view of the marsh and loved starting our day enjoying that view, seeing tons of wildlife, and listening to the birds and frogs. The staff was very friendly, and helpful, we felt right at home. You can enjoy the Crystal Lake right across the street, the town of Fremont is only 15 minutes away with great shopping and beaches, and only an easy 30 minute drive to Sleeping Bear Dunes. We would definitely stay again if we return to that area! Thank you Coastal Inn!

Cute place. Basic breakfast options of cold breakfast items like bagels, scones, etc. Pool is 4ft deep and has lots of pool toys and floaties to play with. Keurigs in each room. Would go again.

Getting into the room using the key box was tricky but worked out fine. Surprised at how freshly decorated and Clea the room was. Nice beach vacation feel. Also surprised at having a fridge and microwave, nice! Room wasn't large but we were only sleeping there so fine. Bathroom and shower were extremely tiny, which worked OK for us but a plus size individual would have issues. Beds were comfy. We didn't use pool, but it was very warm and kids from other guests enjoyed it. Nice pool deck area and both charcoal and gas grills. Beautiful wetland with water birds. Right across street (highway) from a lake. Nice location other than traffic noise. Walls are paper thin so you hear neighbors conversations. Worked out fine because we were lucky and everyone was quiet and in bed by 9. Breakfast was also better than expected. Pre-packaged pancake/sausage, yogurt, fruit juice, cereal, large selection of breads & pastry. Fresh fruit, peanut butter and cream cheese. Open early, we were there at 6:30. Other than our daughter adopting a rescue dog when we get home, we'd definitely return! Highly recommend other than if you travel with a pet, or are very noise sensitive, or plus size.

Prefect for a quick stay

We stayed here 1 night as a part of a longer trip. The kids loved the pool area. The hotel was a little underwhelming and the rooms look nicer in the pictures, but for 1 night it worked.
