The lodge had everything we needed, we literally just brought ourselves.
The lodge had everything we needed, we literally just brought ourselves. The beds were cosy with cotton sheets and duvet covers. The setting was very cosy and warm and the lights and heating was on waiting for us when we arrived on a cold November Friday evening.

Lovely location.
Lovely location. Only 4 and half miles from Bideford town. Peaceful and just what we needed. Beds very comfortable - best nights sleep I have had in a long time. Woodland walk enjoyable. Hot Tub. Was lovely sitting on the wooden porch listening to the birds - had a few birds visit us daily, especially the robin. Love the folder with all the details about the lodge, local places to visit etc. Even a note on best road to take out from site due to narrow roads and which one has more passing areas which was good to know. Easiest way to find is to put Horwood into your Tom Tom and if coming in from Eastleigh once in village turn right into lane or if coming from Lovecott then turn left into lane - a mile or so down the lane, just after bend is first left (signposted) which then takes you to the lodges or use what three words.Liz was amazing and went above and beyond putting us in contact with local boxing club as my son was in training as well as advising on good local running routes. Liz was very welcoming and friendly. Nothing too much to ask. Would highly recommend and would return if we plan our holiday again in the area in the future.
