Swedish West Coast Down by the water on a sunny day in May. The pink flowers are sea thrift (Armeria maritima). Sat on the rocks, looking out over the blue sea, glittering in the sun. This was the first time this year, that the stone actually had warmed up enough to make it pleasant to remain seated. Without the jacket on... And I was just one, out of many, that had the same bright idea this day!

Country house! ;) Root cellar in a meadow. Found this in "Svindal", a part of Billdal. (West Coast of Sweden). These root cellars were built to store food in an isolated cold (but not freezing) place. I must say that those old times "fridges" have a great charm! And this one is the most charming I have ever seen! They certainly knew how to design in an eco friendly way back then... Regretfully, you don´t see many of these now a days, but if you have one, do take care of it. Not only are they of great cultural and historic interest, but they also provide superb storage!
