"Good stay! "

"Front desk agent was OK but another person, who was apparently some assistant manager, was downright unhelpful and uncaring. I was given a room, which looked like it was a dungeon (no window) and very dark so I asked for something else. Front desk said it was the only room left (note that when I booked a couple of hours before, there were 7 rooms available on your site). I told the front desk agent that the said room was unacceptable. I mentioned that I would be looking elsewhere and to get refunded. The other person stepped in ad said it was booked by Expedia and that it was non-refundable. Insofar as the room, he said basically to take it or leave it. No interest shown in helping."

"The hotel was in a good location for accessing the area. The amenities in the room were decent although beds were small, so sharing a bed was not ideal. Breakfast could have been better if it had less bread products and cake and a small selection of hot foods would nice."

"Overall lovely Hotel to stay at while at a conference. Very central location and convenient underground parking. The pool was a very nice feature. My room was very nice and comfortable overall, but my AC unit was noisy and made a whining/ rattling noise- which caused some interrupted sleep."

"The hotel advertises a breakfast buffet; it's not much more than some toast, bagels, muffins, cereal and yogurt. On a buffet I would expect eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles and pancakes . . maybe it's a cultural thing. While clean and well maintained, I would change the name to Stark, very industrial and monochromatic. They have a guest laundry, coin operated but they cannot provide any change; they should consider tokens instead that could be charged to the room."

"The hotel is superbly located, within walking distance of some of the finest department stores, restaurants and shops in Montreal, plus a stone’s throw away from Mount Royal. The property itself is charming, but the rooms are in dire need of an update. Not only is the furniture dated and the carpet worn-out, wrinkled and damaged, but some AC units - if you ever need them in this predominately cold city - are incredibly noisy and ancient. I’m pretty sure that the AC control unit in our room is a few weeks away from qualifying as an antique. The staff was friendly, but their hospitality is hampered by the fact that they only have one valet that they share with the more modern Sens Hotel across the street, which is owned by the same company. Overall, a relatively good value-for-money hotel, with some big pros (location!) and cons. Also, no elevator!"

"Gym equipment needs to be updated. Most of the workout machines must be at least 20yrs old."
