"Good sized room and bathroom. No safe in the room and on the second morning, housekeeping didn't shut the door properly so anyone could have just wandered in. I'd booked room only so can't comment on breakfast. A pleasant stay, however and location is perfect."

"The Royal George is quite nice and it is in the quiet part of Gloucester."

"Staff were friendly and helpful. The room and hotel area was dated and rough round the edges but clean. My bed had a dent down the centre so prominent it felt like I was sleeping in a bowl. Over all, for the location it was good value for money."

"A lovely old building with lots of character on the edge of the river. Lovely location."

"kitchen closed at 6pm and no breakfast available despite having paid for it so i got a refund and didn't check in."
