The room was not fit for paying customers. Loose wires, peeling wallpapers, filthiest place I've ever seen. Landlord did not care at all how it looked or how he looked. The view was good and pet friendly.
My stay at the Dora Hotel was horrendous!!.To begin with the Dora Hotel sign is no longer there so it took me a good 15minutes to actually find where the hotel was as I could not get an answer from No.4 Station Road. It is now called the Hawkins Hotel. The house stank. The room was dirty. The facilities were bare minimum in fact I had to ask for tea bags cause I don’t drink coffee. There was no internet! No double glazing! The windows had condensation on inside and out. The net curtain at the window had seen better days. And there was a very thin curtain which barely covered the window. I could not get into the toilet because the door stuck. I had to phone the owner who also had trouble opening the door but eventually did. The smell was horrendous and it was filthy.
The bed was awful. None of the pillowcases matched and there was spots of blood on the sheet under the pillows. In fact in the morning I found two bed bugs and I have been bitten. I have photos of the bloodstains and the bugs.
I did not sleep because of the noise outside, people having fun obviously cause that’s what they’re there for, plus cars up and down the road all night, sirens from emergency services, plus the wind!! Double glazing might have made a difference.
When I left in the morning, I struggled to get out the front door. I was so glad to get out of there.
Expedia should stop advertising this hotel it’s disgusting.. Paying £60 for the room was a gross over charging.
I HOPE YOU TAKE ACTION TAKE IT OFF
It was dirty when you entered. Lounge area was in a state of disrepair. Room was disgusting mould in shower cubicle. Bathroom was filthy.the pillows should be thrown in the bin as they were paper thin. You sat on the mattress and you could feel the bed base never tried the breakfast as I stayed somewhere else this place should be shut down 👇
Absolutely awful. Air show weekend we booked and upon arrival we were told our room was canx. No email before hand which the owner was adamant he sent. He had rooms available for three hundred pound!! When our orginal room was under hundred. Multiple people turned up same time as us just one told the same. Seemed like he didn’t realise it was air show weekend so canx rooms to earn more money. Awful. Wasn’t even a reception desk, walked into an empty room greeted by a man and a random dog. One couple told us they paid the extra money and instead of giving them the double room they paid for they got a room with bunk beds in.! avoid avoid. Yet to get my refund may I add…
This place needs closing down our room was disgusting. Stains on the bedding my partner had to buy new bedding

Disliked: Amenities
What u see in the picture is most definitely not what u see on arrival, first impression r everything and this place was not good,it was that bad we didn’t even stay.
I got a phone call from someone asking what time we were checking in as jo one would be there to check us in. This was nit the owner but was helping him out. Upon arrival we got sent a few different room numbers and and codes to gain entry. The front door was not secure. When we did finally gain entry to a room the would not lock and it was filthy and unmade. The whole property is a debacle. We left without staying and found other accommodation as did not feel safe. This property should be removed from the site. I have applied for a refund but doubtful i will get one.
We stayed here after looking at the pictures online unfortunately the pictures were nothing like the actual hotel very dirty old bedding on floor filthy paper hanging off walls. well over 30 year old beds as walked in a mattress that had urine all over, breakfast tables disgusting dust everywhere cups and animal hair on pubic had in a roon change straight away. To top it off found my partner has bed bug bites today. Soo having to treat all my house.. Place should be shut down and fumigated.... Manager shouldn't run a hotel
Absolutely appalling! For one it’s false advertising looks nothing like the photos on the advertisement! Got to the room and wow I have no words, pictures to follow! The cleanliness WHAT CLEANLINESS! the only thing clean about this stay was the bag in the bin! I booked this room as a treat for my grandson as he had just finished his SATS and I was absolutely gutted and mortified! Then to top it off we went down for breakfast everyone around me got their breakfasts I was told they forgot about mine. I would have never have booked it I knew then what know now!

Was ok but needs alot of work
Place is managed by one man Tom who was very nice ...Owner was off to Birmingham as we arrived and another lady disappeared when I spoke to her so not much of a welcome . Place needs work and cleaning tbh ... Basic standards are a must especially in a town with so much competition.. Hotel had two names which doesn't help.Think we were the only ones there but we were the only ones for breakfast ... Took a while to get any response from anyone as place was deserted but got there in the end ...Tom is doing a grand job but needs help imho. Breakfast ok but basic and wasn't asked what we wanted but dining room needs a clean and they did have a new dog so that comes with it's challenges ... Can't fault location for pleasure beach and south shore and was a late booking .. As I said place needs work and there are basics that are missing so those should be addressed if the are to survive a summer session ...Who place needs TLC but after coming to Blackpool now for 30 year then whole town needs some TLC and Cleaning .
Found property. No response from ringing bell. Entered through front door which was partly open. Shouted, couldn't find anybody present inside but there was a dog shut in a cupboard under the stairs with door ajar. Eventually a couple, apparently living in the property, told us that there had been no hotel business there for years.
Whole place is dirty, dingy, rundown, smelly and we wouldn't have stayed even if it was open. Yet it is still listed in Expedia - IT SHOULD BE REMOVED. We didn't pay in advance but anybody who did would probably lose their money.
I have asked Expedia to remove this property from their site. On arrival was taken to a room and somebody was sleeping in the bed in the room allocated for me. I was taken to another room which can only be described as unsafe and filthy the toilet had been used and not flushed And the curtain was hanging off the rail. The carpet was also filthy with debris all over a word of warning Expedia are only limited in what they can do they were unable to affect a refund I booked in at a better hotel around the corner. I recognise this is a cheap hotel But there are minimum standards
Property absolutely filthy not as advertised at all evrrything in the room was disgusting and smelt quiet bad. The staff were friendly but found out of date things at the breakfast and again the things were not clean and we had to ask for things to be washed.
Hotel is dirty smells it's unsafe got took to the top floor in the attic room was cold bedding was filthy so asked for another room and got shown it it was basically a crack den only not advertised as one it's horrendous I wouldn't let a rat stop there neither mind a human being I would advise anyone to not stop here if the was a minus star I would give it minus 1000

Deeply disappointed
What stay. The hotel cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. It spoiled the start of our holiday
If we have to give 48 hours notice why should they cancel with such short notice and no explanation
We stayed in room 15 right at the top floor, the carpet between the two rooms was soaking wet. The carpet it nailed and screwed down and if you have barefeet it hurts. The mattress on one of the bets had a spring sticking out at the very bottom if you sat there it was sticking in you. The shower pressure is terrible. The curtains had what looked like a cigarette burn hole in them and half hanging off the rail. The only good this was that it was a sea view room
We didn’t stay. Lasted 15 mins.
It was dirty. Really dirty.
Mattress was just spring.
Had a big wet patch in the carpet.
Smelt musty.
Carpet was stapled together like odd ends of carpet.
Light fittings hanging off.
Couldn’t even give it 1/10 it was really bad.
Absolutely filthy. Hairs on the bed. No soap in towel. Stains on the walls and beds. Filthy carpet. I wish i could give minus stars. Dont know how these property still allowed for guests to stay in. Avoid it at all cost. Booked with breakfast but didn't eat there because don't want to get ill
Wasn’t really the most clean hotel we have stayed in Blackpool, towels was dirty, window ledge full of dust, bathroom looked like it hasn’t been touched for a while.
Avoid unless your crazy or very very desperate. Didnt read reviews before booking and couldn't afford to walk away on arrival and stay elsewhere. The pics of property are correct but most of the community areas is storage for crap, our room smelt and wasnt as clean as it should be. We are glad we took our own towls,I had to fix curtains so people couldn't see inside while my wife was changing. The carpet was patch work and nailed down so pain full if you need toilet in night and forgotten your slippers.the mattress on the bed was as old as Blackpool tower and felt horrible to sleep on. The breakfast comes with its own health warning very undercooked eggs, hashbrowns not cooked, out of date jam, the glasses on the tables were filthy not just on our table but on all the tables.
