Clean room. nice view of the sea. Lovely buffet breakfast.
The bar was good.
The refreshments area was only open at random times.
Guests have to pay to use the pool.
It was fairly empty when I stayed this time. Felt a bit ghostly. Enjoyed the swimming pool and my granddaughter joined in with the Karaoke. When outside the hotel, it was a bit off putting late at night when people were pulling parts of the hotel wall down.
The room was okay, bed linen was clean, the room needed a good clean around the windows to get rid of the cobwebs. The bathroom was clean, nicely tiled, shower was hot and good water pressure. It needed a bath mat to step out of the shower onto rather than straight out onto the floor. Tea and coffee facility was useful; the TV was good. Staff, when checking in were very informative and pleasant, staff at breakfast were pleasant too. Breakfast was varied and plentiful, nice and hot, very tasty.
Lovely hotel basic room but was all we need great staff and amazing entertainment team.

It is a large hotel with some good facilities including cafe, bar, small cinema room and amusement arcade. We attended for an expo being held in the Norcalympia Exhibition Centre which was a huge venue which catered very well for the event. A tram stop outside provides an easy route in and out of the centre, which is a 5km / ~45min brisk walk if you’re interested in going on foot
The twin room we had was ok, but there was some litter down the back of the furniture and some areas would benefit from a bit of a deep clean as it was a bit dusty. The bathroom was basic but fine for an overnight stay. The beds, bedding and towels were clean and fresh and we both had a decent night’s sleep.
All in all we found the hotel fine for our needs and a great price. Would consider it again for next year.

Didn’t have any food on site, but it looked nice enough. Room was ok, but hot water took a while to get going and no change of towels after first night.
Brilliant for families, plenty of room in the lounge and bar area. Reasonably priced food. Kids loved their stay. Great area, nice quiet, clean sandy beach opposite and amusements, shops and eateries a 5 mins walk.
Had a lovely time, the staff were very helpful as I am disabled. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great. We will definitely be back going again.
Very run down not the cleanest very dusty no towels or toilet paper on arrival phoned reception these did arrive within 10 mins . Staff friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. food good. Need a complete overhaul hall new carpet s beds etc. we liked location tram at door and 50min walk to tower
The hotel is definitely tired but it met all our needs , it’s situated in a perfect location, right outside the tram stop
Very clean
Shower and bathroom, toilet very clean and working perfect
Didn’t get to eat anything, but saw many folks tucking in their breakfast and dinners and all looked well
You get what you pay for
I would definitely recommend this place for a cheap and cheerful base when on holiday
I've stayed here 3 times before. The rooms are a little dated but clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. Parking is charged at £3 a day which is reasonable. It's a good base for visiting Cleveleys, Fleetwood or the main attractions as there is a bus and tram stop opposite the hotel. Copperface Jack's, the hotel was closed..but when open can be good for watching sports
It's not the Hilton, but I will definitely be back.
Not enough staff, room was dusty lampshades above bed dirty! dirty walls in bedroom, hair on bathroom floor, entrances carpets floor, lifts dirty, rubbish everywhere, not enough bars staff, breakfast awful . More like a 1 star hotel.
Rundown hotel.
the whole hotel was poorly run , the building itself is very poorly maintained and in desperate need of a complete refurbishment , the one and only lift is so slow it was quicker to walk from fith floor to the ground floor . the one good thing was the help yourself all you can eat breakfast , the lady who checked me in was very good and i was checked in within minutes . overall a very disapointing stay and will not use again
Check-in was lovely. Ross was very welcoming and friendly.
The hotel has so much potential.
Good entertainment. Friendly staff.
The only thing that lets the hotel down is the standard of the rooms.
The rooms are smelly, old dirty stained carpets, dusty above bed, bathroom dirty, had no soaps in dipensers. Mould around bath taps. Etc.
For a one night stay - we made do.
The sheets and towels were clean.
This hotel could be so much more!

The exterior and interior needs updating/refurbishment. But generally feel for the price it is a good hotel, room clean and bar area good with entertainment.
I generally felt it was good deal and was suitable for what we needed, a cheap clean hotel.

Considering the reputation that surrounds Norbreck Castle, I have to say I was genuinely impressed. I found the hotel to be fantastic and would definitely consider staying again.
Our room was basic, but for what we paid, I honestly didn’t expect anything more. It was clean, we had fresh towels and all the usual tea, coffee and condiments provided, so we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
The location was brilliant, with the tram stop literally right outside the hotel, making it really easy to get into Blackpool. Parking was also only £3 for 24 hours, which I thought was excellent value.
We only stayed for one night and I certainly wasn’t expecting much in terms of entertainment, but the cabaret was absolutely fantastic! The four young adults who I believe were part of the entertainment team were amazing. Having been an entertainer myself in the past, I was genuinely blown away by their energy, talent and professionalism. They really made the evening and were a credit to the hotel.
The bar prices were also much cheaper than in Blackpool itself, which was another pleasant surprise.
Overall, I had a really enjoyable stay. Sometimes you have to experience somewhere for yourself rather than judge it by its reputation, and for us, Norbreck Castle was a really positive experience.
I would definitely visit again!
Despite hearing the contrary, found everything absolutely fine, my room was clean, staff were excellent, buffet breakfast had enough choices in my opinion. OK, so the tea bags in the room were not very nice & the communal decor could do with a bit of modernisation, but that’s trivial & didn't affect a positive review.
