The room we stayed in this time was very small, the cold water tap had very little water pressure as did the shower. However, the room was warm and the beds were comfortable. The staff are friendly and the breakfast is tasty .

The room was adequate, the bathroom was very small and the sink was very low and didnt work well at all. There was only half a toilet roll left to use so i had to go to reception to ask for more. There were no toiletries at all left in the room.

The Lawton Hotel has very friendly & helpful staff that go above & beyond being helpful. The complementary breakfast was very filling & set you up for the day. The decor is dated & very tired & needs freshening up, but after the initial shock, you realise that it is a very competitive priced hotel with a free breakfast, their profit margins must be very slim, not enough for decorating etc. Saying that, our room was warm, the white bedding & towels were clean & fresh. The room had a tv, tea making facilities & was comfortable. So we overlooked the negatives. We both liked watching tv in bed with a cuppa & my daughter & I slept very well.
