Midcentury Magic in Marlborough

Step back in time and enjoy unique, boutique accommodation in Howick House, an original homestead built in the middle of last century that has been lovingly restored and carefully curated with period furnishing and original artworks on a large, private section at the foot of the Wither hills close to town and surrounding vineyards. The kitchen is well equipped, perfect for any home chef with Smeg appliances, many on-site staples and full laundry facilities. The bathroom is has a toilet and shower, although the more adventurous are recommended to try the gas -fired outdoor rain shower. Drink a cocktail or three in one of several outdoor areas or take a dip in the private plunge pool after walking numerous tracks criss-crossing the Wither Hills. The bedrooms have comfortable beds with luxury linen, velvet blackout curtains and new carpeting throughout.The living areas include a gas fire, air conditioning, smart TV and unlimited wi-fi. Howick House is located a short drive from the hospital, airport and the CBD with plenty of off-street parking in a sweeping circular driveway with large well tended lawns and a small orchard. This home is perfect for both traveling couples and families with older children

Retro Style Dream

Great location and amenities! Kids enjoyed the plunge pool. Gas fireplace provided plenty of warmth. Hosts were very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
