Block Island is a historic property in the 'Old Town', initially built around 1850, this property housed the General Store. Completely renovated in 1985 by the owner, amenities include a private entrance and bath, hard pine floors and a kitchenette, gas grill, air conditioning, wireless internet, and outdoor shower. Lawn chairs are set up under 2 maple trees for outdoor seating.

The unit has a 1 bedroom, 1 full bath, and double futon couch in living area (sleeps 4 max.) Amenities include wood floors, tile bath, TV, DVD, outdoor shower , air conditioning. We stayed this past weekend at the property, and to be honest I was very disappointed with the unit given the price. There was no soap or shampoo, the sheets on the bed were very inexpensive, and of poor quality. The TV did not work because there was no remote control. The owner/manager of the property was a nice guy, but we had very little interaction with him. However, if you’re looking for an easy spot in Block Island, it’s very doable.

Convenient and clean

This is a 3-story house converted into a 3-apartment Vrbo rental, advertised accurately. Very clean and with owner living in an adjacent structure and very available and responsive. The bathroom was adequate, with good water pressure in the shower and plenty of hot water.

The apartment was perfect for our 2 night/3 day stay. Location, cleanliness, and overall size of the apartment is perfect for 3-4 people. Arnie is super friendly and super was super helpful with the stay! Highly recommend.

Nicest place to stay

Arnie is the greatest host you could ask for. We enjoyed the calm slow paced life of Block Island along with all the beauty the island has to offer. The third level house was just right for us. And I can’t forget about Duke the real property manager, sweetest dog you’ll ever meet. Thanks Arnie!

Wouldn’t recommend this place

I have stayed in many nicer places for much less $. Just because it’s on Block Island, I supposed the owner feels they can charge this much, but it is definitely not work it. The host is very difficult to get a hold of. I sent a message when I first booked, got no reply. Then sent a few messages just before the date, because a hurricane was threatening, and there were possibly going to be ferry cancellations. It took several emails, and then a call to vrbo to get a response. Checking in was also difficult, he didn’t send me instructions until the evening of check in, after I sent an email through vrbo. He said his phone doesn’t work at his house, mine worked, he uses the wrong carrier, no way to do business! There are two flights of very steep steps you need to climb to get up to the apartment, and I found it to be very dingy and had to wash the kitchen counters, as there was oily grime on them, and crumbs on the glassware shelf. The bed had no bedspread, just two very crumpled sheets, and an old light synthetic blanket. It was positioned under the roofline and I hit my head very hard on the low slanted ceiling after trying to settle the pillows and sheets. Worst though, the mattress was very worn. There was a low spot on one side, so I had to try to sleep on the far side, where it was firmer. Hardly slept either night. I had chosen this rental, because it stated that it slept four. The second “bed” was a very worn futon couch, glad my daughter didn’t come!

We enjoyed our stay on Block Island, didn't do much more than shower and sleep there. The AC made it comfortable. Arnie and Duke were very pleasant to deal with.

Wonderful stay!

This third floor apartment is perfect for one or two people. It is clean and conveniently located near all the things to see and do on Block Island! Arnie is a wonderful host and gave me good advice about places to eat and things to do during my stay. I will definitely be back!

Cozy upper floor walk-up

I found the apartment to be larger than the pictures portrayed. The bed is very soft and plush, and there is a a futon in the living room if you prefer a firmer mattress. Arnie is responsive and engaging, really knows and loves the island. We would stay here again!

Great option for a few days on the “Block”

It was nice to find a place that accommodated 4 adults to allow our family to enjoy several days on the island rather than take the ferry to and from in one day as we usually do.

Great lil place

Adorable property. It’s a little far out so you’ll need cabs or a bicycle to get around. Arnie is a great host I enjoyed speaking to him. Outdoor shower has hot water which was great. Would stay here again.

Location was fantastic- far enough away from restaurants and bars that it was quiet but close enough to get there easily on bikes. The unit was adorable, clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Host was awesome and offered restaurant and site seeing suggestions, as well as checked in regarding our need for additional towels etc. Really a fantastic experience! Would definitely stay here again.
