The house was very clean and convenient to IU. You turn right out of the property and that puts you on 10th street in just a few minutes. Next time, I would bring my own shampoo and conditioner. I suspect we will stay here again.
Cute and compact and clean setting outside of town
The house was a great base for a visit to Bloomington. It was clean and compact and had the basics needed to make meals.
It also had laundry.
Our host was quick to respond to our questions.

Terrible experience
Limited pictures should tell you something about property. This is a farm house that has been converted into a duplex with very low workmanship and yard is used for parking of school bus, work trucks, and the like.
To be fair, the property was clean and close enough to all that Bloomington has to offer. However, it simply was below expectations in regards to comfort and quality. The bed was more like a metal cot, furnishings that were not functional for anyone over 5 ft and of low quality (like a cheap hotel), water that is brackish (could be property well that has a very high mineral base), and linens of low thread count. My wife would only stay one night and would not return to property.
We tried to explain our concerns but owner would not budge and demanded non-refundable payment be made to her for full 4 night stay even though our actual use was limited. Owner is a realtor who knows the law and provides the minimum to assure her rights are protected without regard to customer satisfaction. VBRO customer service was of no assistance.
Bottom line, this is the risk you take with an on-line booking. Next time I would do more research or stay a hotel that can have some standards.
Updated farmhouse with all the basic amenities. Outskirts of Bloomington keeps you within a few minutes of all that town has to offer with feel of rural country.
Walls are a bit thin if neighbors are renting the other side and WiFi was iffy when neighbors were present.
