Inside, gather around the wood-burning fireplace in the living area, prepare meals in the full kitchen complete with stainless steel appliances and a breakfast bar, and enjoy meals or play games at the dining table with seating for six. This home also includes a fun-filled game room equipped with a foosball table, air hockey, and even a multicade arcade cabinet. Outside, this towering cabin boasts multiple furnished decks, hammocks, a private hot tub, a gas grill, and a firepit.

Disappointed

First day. Cabin was not cleaned when we arrived. Door was unlocked. Kitchen filthy, beds unmade, dirty towels, trash all over. Had to wait 3 hours for someone to come clean cabin. Cleaning crew put wet sheets on bed Second day. Discovered bad leak in game room that was dangerously dripping close to wall electrical outlets. Reported to get repaired. Firewood not covered outside so was too wet to use in fireplace. Oven filthy and smoked excessively when we used it. WiFi terrible. Not the “instant” service as advertised. No remote found for DirecTv service. Hot tub had not been drained and cleaned after previous guests. Not nearly enough towels for 12 guests. Third day. Still waiting on someone to fix leak reported previous day. Finally came late in the afternoon. Cabin really could also use some minor adjustments and repairs. It’s in a great location and looks great from outside. Fourth day. We checked out!

Cleanliness can be improved

Overall the cabin was a comfortable stay but there are a few areas that could be improved. The cleanliness of the cabin wasn’t great. The light hanging above the kitchen island was filled with spider webs. The fan in the bedroom I stayed in was covered in dust that I preferred to avoid using the fan otherwise my baby would be inhaling all that dust. The jacuzzi water was also not very clean we could see visible boogers among other stuff. Apart from the cleanliness the cabin was a comfortable stay for my family and I.

Great property!

This was a great property! 4 children 5 and under and we had a blast! Lots to keep the kids entertained and the location was great! Super close to town and stores! The property managers were great—very quick responses to all my random questions and issues that came of the week of! It was an air hockey table instead of a pool table (which was totally fine for us) but may want to update that picture!

Home needs maintenance

We arrived to a clean property that had many maintenance issues. The game room was unlit, unfinished and very cold.The video game was missing a joystick and so a total loss. Air hockey was extremely loud and since the lower level was unfinished and dark we had to leave the door open to have any heat travel to that space. The appliances were all in good working order. This was good since we were cooking our meals there. No foil or plastic wrap at all so plan on bringing everything except paper towels. Internet and cable worked well. Hot tub was nice but cover smelled musty. For the dollars we spent this place was not a good value. We have rented in the Blue Ridge area for a lot less that the home was much better maintained. Pictures were better than the reality.

Little Cabin in the woods

The Cabin stay was relaxing! The cleanliness was good. The only complaints I have are- the house is not well insulated, at all. If you have small ones trying to sleep or anyone playing in the game room, you can hear EVERYTHING, on every floor. To the point you can hear snoring from the main level on the top level. That was a bit of a turn off. I wouldn’t go back to this one because of it. The kitchen supplies were cheap. The can opener wouldn’t work, vegetable peeler, cheap. We wound up going out to purchase our own. Typically, you go to a cabin and expect to have things that work. Otherwise, location and beauty was key!

The downstairs was a little disappointing. It wasn’t as clean as we would have liked.

Easy to book. I misunderstood when it said you could sleep 12. There was a bunk bed which I didn’t notice in the description. We had adults who did not want to climb into a top bunk.

Cabin Needs a Serious Overhaul

This place was probably top notch at some point but is not a term I would use in 2021. TVs are old. The main floor TV didn't even have a remote control, satellite connection was disconnected and speakers sounded like they were blown. I had to connect my own personal speaker so we could properly hear. Many of the doors squeak and/or difficult to open/close. Most of the beds also squeak. Master bathroom window doesn't even close all the way which allowed for all that summer hot air and neighbor noise in the master bedroom so you have to keep the door closed at all times. Lots of mold/mildew on decking and railing. Would have expected at least the areas touched by hands would have been cleaner. Agree with previous commenter regarding the downstairs bathroom. Had some issues with master shower from day one that were not able to be resolved before we left although management was extremely responsive to our needs. My family and I have been frequent visitors to Blue Ridge over the past 15 years and this house rates at the bottom compared to all of the other places we have stayed. The Vacasa sticker on the main door says "Welcome Home" but I think for this place it's more like "Welcome to Home Improvement". Bring your cleaning supplies and a dust rag.

Needs fumigation and update ASAP

Cleaning is horrible, the roaches are still there and come out of the wood, needs to be tented. Linen furniture need to be replaced, super worn. Pool and hockey table have had way better days.

Great Cabin extra guests!

As we drove up to our cabin we noticed how beautiful it was. As we walked into the cabin we noticed a lot of roaches scattering in the kitchen and main bathroom. What a bummer. The kitchen table had a sticky substance on it. Before we could unload our stuff we had to thoroughly clean kitchen & bathroom. We noticed several roach traps and plenty of cans of raid. Which we used throughout our stay. Our fridge was overpacked because we had to keep all our food in there to keep away from roaches. Noticed a couple of other roaches throughout the cabin but not like the kitchen & bathroom. This problem needs addressed fast! I did read that a previous guest mentioned roach problem but the reply from management assured that the problem would be fixed so I was not too concerned. I did reach out to Vacasa and was told someone would call or come by to address issue; neither happened. The cabin is very beautiful and accommodating. The driveway is steep but we managed. We did enjoy the cabin just wish that we weren’t so concerned about the extra guest in our rental. For $1800 you’d think the space would be cleaner & mostly pest free.

Beautiful spot

It was a surprise that the basement isn’t completed, but it was useful anyway. Bring roach spray! Otherwise, it’s a great place in a beautiful area.

Blue Ridge Vacay

I'll start with the positives: The house is beautiful and in a beautiful location. We had a good amount of room for 6 adults and 6 children. Home is located close to town. Game room and hot tub offered endless entertainment for everyone. The price was good. Negatives: During the first shower on the first night, the shower poured water from the top floor bathroom onto a family member using the toilet in the bathroom underneath. I called VACASA at 11:00 pm and someone came out to look at it around 10 am the next morning. Unfortunately, they were not able to fix the issue. Therefore, we ended up with two showers for 12 ppl for four nights. I sent several messages asking questions about our stay but never received responses. After several attempts and using the map, we were never able to find the entrance and path to the river. There is a 20 fee for pets however we didn't have pets. Overall, we enjoyed our time but would have opted for a different rental if we knew ahead of time we would only have two showers. We probably would have spent more per night for some extra space.
