Not really a hotel but ok for the price

This property is an apartment on the 7th floor of an office building in Bologna. It’s about 15min walk from the station (longer in the heat with luggage) and 10 min walk from the centre. Clean, nice room. Our shower didn't work properly but the bed was comfortable.

We stayed at the Marconi Inn for one night. The room was spacious and comfortable for a family of 4 but one of the beds was very small, good for a child but would not have been good for a teen. The check in was smooth, the breakfast as some reviews mentioned is a pastry with a beverage for each person. The coffee place is next to the entrance of the Marconi building. The luggage storage was very convenient and we appreciated it a lot. It is a bit far from all the interesting sites but in general it was very good for a short stay.

The main disappointment leading to our lesser enjoyment of this booking was the fact that breakfast was not ultimately included, despite being advertised as such and included in the booking price. Instead we were told to grab a croissant and coffee across the street. In addition, consider better signage for travellers to find the hotel more easily. We had to guess at where exactly we needed to go and that is a hassle.

Clean and comfortable trip

Apartment is very close to the train station and city center, good location. Clean and comfortable enough for a family. Included Breakfast was a bit disappointment because it was only a crossant and coffee ticket from the cafe.

The staff was was very unflexible and not service oriented at all. Due to the general strike we arrived six hours later at the b&b than planned, which they punished with a hefty late check in fee.

There was no one on reception and no means of getting in. We had to phone the company to let us in. While we were there we had to answer the bell to let other guests in. The owners could get a ring doorbell

Check in was a little confusing, there is another placw wirh a similar name, so ve sure you use the actual address provided. The entrance is next door to a pharmacy, and is in what would seem like an office building, on the 7th floor. Once we found it after calling twice, check in was easy and the room was nice. Pretty cool view from the balcony. Bologna is nice to walk, porticos over most sidewalks ans is not as busy as Rome or Florence. Food scene is excellent and is worth the trip. Basilica di San Petronia is beautiful and has some great history. The medieval towers are at this time under restoration unfortunately, so we could only see them from afar. Cool city, will come back again, to see the University and more.

Bra läge och pris. Både nära tågstationen och gamla stan/sevärdheter. Lätt att få tag på personalen trots att vi kom en halvtimme innan incheckning. Väldigt bra bemötande och superhjälpsam kille i receptionen. Gav oss tips på en underbar restaurang som var den godaste lokala mat vi käkat under två veckor i Italien. Stort och välstädat rum med egen toalett. Det fanns Nespresso-maskin och ett litet kylskåp på rummet och drycken däri ingick i priset på rummet. Enkelsängen/bäddsoffan i trippelpunkter var lite obekväm men funkar bra för barn, dubbelsängen var bra. Lite lyhört men inget som störde allt för mycket. Det fanns möjlighet att låsa in bagage efter utcheckning ifall man ville det. Bra bussförbindelser och lätt att ta sig till Renato Dall’Ara-stadion för att se fotboll, och supersmidigt att ta sig tillbaka efter match sent en lördagkväll. Frukosten var bara en kaffe/varm choklad och en croissant.
