Hotel is convenient for Bordeaux Centre and there is a supermarket and shopping mall close by.
Entry is confusing as the main entrance is from the upper level. The only way we could get to the upper entrance was through the adjacent park which isn't obvious. The ground floor entrance is normally locked and access is either via the speakerphone, door key card or previously advised PIN number. Not very welcoming.
The rooms are OK and adequately provided with eseentials. No air conditioning so they are hot in summer.
Anbefales.
I arrived late at night and waited in the street until some hotel guests came in and opened the door for me. Apparently the front desk closes at 10pm and there is not way to enter the building without a key after that time. So I stood, alone, on a dark side street at 11pm hoping someone would show up.... Not a good start. The night guard gave me a key, the room had been closed up all day and someone - probably housekeeping - left the bathroom heat on, it was unbearable. After opening the balcony door it could down a bit but was still very uncomfortable - probably the worst hotel night I ever had. In the morning when I shared this with the front desk agent he only shrugged.... My room was paid for, I a staying one night why would he care it was impossible to sleep.... STAY AWAY
Arrivee tardive tres bien geree.

Good value but too hot
Hotel very close to main attractions and nearby tram stop plus shopping centre and supermarket. Rooms basic but effective. Only downside no aircon so hot and noisy at night with window or door open. Fan provided when you check in, on request! Hotel in need or a refurb as looking tired. Staff friendly and helpful. Would stay again but not in hot weather.
Easy to walk everywhere. Close to museums. Friendly staff. English speaking.

Convenient location, well-equipped suite
Location is excellent, very close to light rail station and only 4 stops from the centre of the old town and riverfront. Also there is a shopping centre across the plaza. The breakfast was good value for the surcharge given the convenience of not having to leave the hotel. The on-site parking is not designed for big cars but we were able to squeeze in with our large sedan. The kitchen in the suite was tiny but well-equipped, even had a mini dishwasher! The sofa was threadbare although the pull-out bed was very comfortable to sleep on and easy to set up. Not much extra space in the living room once the bed was set up though - we had to climb over the bed to reach the closet or balcony.

Preiswert
Grei overnatting.
Gutes Hotel an zentraler Lage. Hotelpersonal nett, Sauberkeit gut. Wir blieben 3 Nächte über den 1. Mai wo die Preise sonnst sehr hoch sind, das Hotel jedoch sehr, sehr günstig war, was will an da noch mehr erwarten. Jederzeit wieder!

the location of the citadines is convenient. it is close to restaurants and points of interest in the city, but there are other hotels in the same area that would be a better choice. Also, attached to a park that had young adults drinking and making a raucous in the early evening, had to think about walking through, first time in Bordeaux i questioned my safety. The room, and whole hotel, reeked of cigarette smoke. I booked a double bed and had two singles pushed together, but made up separately so couldn't sleep on the crack if you wanted to. The front desk attendant broke out laughing when i approached the desk, all signs indicated she was laughing at me, quite unprofessional and unnerving. There was a lot of sound transfer between rooms so not a quiet sleep. The bathroom was clean enough but there was grime around the toilet, and on the baseboards, and the carpets were filthy in the room. Worst of all was the reek of smokes in the fabric of the room, even with extensive airing it would not diminish. It served a purpose for one night in bordeaux but i would never go back.
