No air conditioning and window faced buildings so there was no airflow. This usually wouldn’t be an issue but during a heat wave it was very very hot. Staff are kind and breakfast was nice and it’s in a central area.

The room was clean, the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Just a little too noisy if you choose a room on the street side.
Very friendly staff and many spoke some English. The breakfast was incredible for the price and rooms were decent, with comfortable beds. Was easy to get the tram and near many great restaurants. Would definitely stay again but probably not in a room with a "city view". Outside noise was loud but we were there iver a weekend.

The hotel was good value for money and the location was great.
We had a very good time in this little hotel, located in the center of Bordeaux. Breakfast is very good, the service punctual and careful, the personnel very kind and professional. If we go again to Bordeaux, Hotel Gamebtta will be again our destination.
We were on short trip to Bordeaux and the Hotel Gambetta fitted the accommodation brief perfectly: central, convenient for transport and visitor attractions, with very friendly and helpful staff.
Hotel Gambetta was situated within walking distance to most sites. It was close to the trams, restaurants, bars & cafes. Some of the rooms were small but the location was a winner. Continental breakfast was plentiful. Would recommend this hotel.

Very basic, staff helpful, location great.
No air con so very hot and basic rooms but did have a fan
My boyfriend and I spent a weekend in Bordeaux and this hotel was the perfect solution. Close to the most important spots of the city and very clean!
The reception operating 24 hours a day is a plus and I have to say they were extremely kind and professional.
For the star level of this hotel, the price and the location….it was excellent.
Staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
Rooms are clean.
They are currently doing some renovations, so there is some noise after 9am, but we were out exploring by then.
Can’t wait to see their remodel.
Would stay here again.
Giving 5 stars bc the staff were impeccably kind. Giving 5 stars bc for the price this could have been terrible but the rooms were clean and the beds are comfortable. Only a note to those booking about accessibility, elevator doesn't mean accessible. Old building with curvy stairs and the elevator goes to the landings between floors, still have to use many steps to access your room. Staff did all they could to help with warmth and kindness. Merci beaucoup. *And you can buy tram tickets from the concierge.
The price for the location is excellent. It is near the middle of all of the main sights downtown. The building is old, which makes it interesting, but also can be challenging to get luggage to the 4th floor. The staff are very willing to help, but it is something to be aware of. The rooms were clean and there was room service every day.
