"I used the Anacortes Inn as my homebase while exploring the San Juan Islands. I was impressed by how clean and convenient the hotel was. Everything is updated in the room. The bathroom wasn't as updated, but it was clean and plain and that's all I needed for my 10 day stay. The rooms seem adequately insulated, because I did not hear any side to side neighbors. Having upstairs neighbors a few nights was a little rough... but maybe they just had loud feet. I still slept comfortably and the AC was great. The minifridge was great - and the freezer part worked! The front desk staff was very helpful at checkin and even provided me piece of tape that I needed to seal an envelope and as a bonus they gave my dog treats! There were several dogs (including mine) in the hotel, but the floors are vinyl, so they are very clean. I only had my room cleaned once, and it was accidentally overlooked, but as soon as I mentioned it, it was taken care of. That is excellent customer service! If you are looking for a posh resort, maybe skip this one. But if you are looking for a comfortable, clean place to stay that is central to a lot of amazing sites - I highly recommend. Plus there is a park right next door for late evening dog walks. And there is food and coffee within walking distance. I was traveling alone with my dog and I felt very safe at the hotel and surrounding areas. I had an amazing time and hope to return soon to the Anacortes Inn."
