With lake views from almost every room, two fully equipped kitchens, and space to sleep 18 guests, this is the perfect setting for your next multi-generational reunion or trip with friends.

    **The "Relax-Ready" Experience**
    We handle the heavy lifting so you don't have to. All beds (2 Kings, 3 Queens, 1 Double, and various bunks/sleepers) are made with fresh linens, quilts, and pillows prior to your arrival. Just walk in, drop your bags, and head straight for the water!
    *Note: Please remember to bring your own towels, as these are not provided.*

    **Main Level Luxury**
    The primary suite features a pillow-top King bed, a private balcony for romantic sunsets, and a spa-like ensuite with a massive walk-in rain shower. Two additional guest rooms, a full laundry room, and a vaulted Great Room with a 60" Smart TV ensure everyone stays comfortable. The gourmet kitchen comes stocked with seasonings and essentials (saran wrap, foil, etc.), making meal prep a breeze.

Another Great Stay!

We love staying here! Ample space for our group, we love the fire pit and fishing of the dock. The kitchen is well stocked, we make all our meals here and haven't found that we needed anything. Great communication with host. Looking forward to staying again!

This place had a lot to do. Kayaks included was amazing, pool table and ping pong. Had plenty to do even though it was winter. Looks like an amazing place for a summer vacation.

Since 2016 I started getting my family together in December to have a Christmas gathering. We eat, play games, watch movies and so on. Well this is the second year we’ve done it at Mr. Edie’s home and it was as beautiful this time as it was the first! The pictures don’t do justice of how nice & clean the home is! I wish I had gotten more pics of the home.

Friendsgiving 2023!

3 families stayed here together for the thanksgiving holiday! Plenty of space for all, Great Lake access, kayaks were fun, stocked kitchen, fire pit and plenty of wood. Very memorable stay! Beautiful house. Edie was fantastic, great communication leading up to and throughout the stay.

Perfect long weekend stop

Had a great visit to floating and boating. Edie's house has it all. We fished, rented a boat at the nearby marina, had a few fires, and relaxed. Will definitely come back in the future.

Great trip

We had an absolutely perfect stay at the lake house! Everything was exactly as described, and it comfortably accommodated all 16 of us, ranging in age from 8 to 72. The house had all the amenities we needed, and the views were stunning. Edie, the owner, was super helpful and incredibly responsive throughout our stay, making sure everything was just right. It was a wonderful time for everyone, and we can't wait to come back!

Girls Weekend

15 ladies enjoyed a wonderful long girls weekend at Floatin and Boatin. The kitchen is well stocked, there was plenty of space indoors and outdoors for relaxing and lots of laughter. Just minutes to Rosemont Winery and Shady Shack. Would highly recommend and would definitely return.

Terrific

Beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean, and generously stocked. Floatin' and Boatin' is a wonderful place for making family memories. Tons to do and plenty of room to do it in. The owners are easy to contact, responsive, and proactive. The entire process from start to finish was flawless. Can't recommend it highly enough and can't wait to go back!

Great place for a gathering of Friends!

My old friend group from school all got together for a time to reconnect here this past weekend. And this house was amazing! They had everything, and all of it was super clean. The owners are great, and made sure we were taken care of. They have everything you could think of! Paddle boards, kayaks, pool table, ping pong, rain shower head, etc. This place was great! Will be looking forward to our next trip here!

Weekend at the lake

Excellent!! Place worked great for our whole family. Grandkids spent a lot of time on the floating mat or the Big Bubba we rented. Having kayaks and stand up paddle boards was a treat. The house had so many things inside for entertainment as well. Edie was great at communicating and a pleasure to deal with.

Excellent Property

Nothing negative. It was well kept, very spacious, with lots of light. There was plenty of activities throughout the house for people to do, and everything was neatly labeled. The deck had a gorgeous view and was overall a very relaxing and nice stay. The dock was clean as well as the kayaks and paddleboards.

Family gathering

Second time back to floating and boating even better than the first time. This place has it all from the view to the house you can not go wrong with this property. Beautiful home and property

We have vacationed in Lake Gaston for 5 years. We absolutely love this area and the beautiful lake. However, this was our first year at ‘Floating and Boatin’, and it beyond surpassed our expectations. The home is so beautiful. The views of the lake make mornings on the porch heavenly, and the dock with its many toys impressed all of us from age 4 to age 76! I could go on forever…By far one of my favorite stays at Lake Gaston. Thank you Edie and Steve for a wonderful core memory vacation.

Relaxing Oasis

This lake house has it all!! We stayed during a range of temperatures (33-60) and we never got bored. It is spacious, cozy, and set-up well. The only thing I would say is make sure you are not planning on finding a ton of this to do around the area. The Winery- The Rosemont- is beautiful and there is a bakery-BJ’s- that has UHmazing cakes, pies, and cinnamon rollsCan’t wait to come back.
