"Lovely hotel, full of character. Spacious room, extremely clean, comfortable nights sleep. Parking was limited but I was able to secure a space. I didn’t get the opportunity to use the swimming pool - you had to request a key/code for access. No fitness suite. Overall, very peasant hotel but I thought it was expensive for what it was."
"Stayed whilst visiting the Lakes. Hotel was perfect for us as a family with children age 10 to 16. The buffet breakfast was a good selection, children loved the pancake machine. We also loved the pool, you had to pay extra but I felt this was worth it, the pool was a good size and steam room, sauna and jacuzzi nice for adults to relax. The hotel had a nice atmosphere, nice reception area with lovely open fire to sit by."
"Team were great , Sue in particular was very helpful and informative. Room was cosy and had everything I needed. Food was very nice, I missed breakfast as had to leave early. I would definitely return!"
"Really comfortable stay and a lovely breakfast. Staff were attentive and friendly. In some places it looked a little run down but the room was simple and well maintained and had everything we needed."
"Lovely and comfortable one night stay with a delicious breakfast. One star deducted as one of our rooms had a leak from the toilet which resulted in a very wet floor around the sink area. We didn't eat dinner at the pub as we were following up on a recommendation for The Duke of Cumberland in the next village, but we did pop in for drinks afterwards and enjoyed a quiz the barmaid had organised. It was also nice to see some local youths playing darts and enjoying themselves in the pub - it's rare to see 'kids' out these days and they were very polite too. All in all a lovely area and I'd consider going back in warmer weather to do some of the local walks."
